Hi Tony, hope you are well. I've only had my Modular a few days but i'm glad i found your tutorial, makes all the difference when there's someone who knows their gear. What i would like to ask, is did you re-set the Volca to factory? The reason i'm asking is that i have followed some of the tutorials to the letter but i'm not getting the same "sound" as in the video. Nonetheless, the presentation is well executed and patiently done, which helps with those of us of a more "mature" age. Take care. ; )
Hi George. It doesn't really matter if you do a factory reset or not, unless you're playing patterns from the sequencer, and I'm not using any preset patterns in these videos. There are two elements: the "Patch" (the sound) and in some cases the "Pattern" or "Sequence" (notes played using that sound). What I'm demonstrating is the "Patch", but in some cases I'm using a "Sequence" or "Pattern" that I've programmed to showcase that Patch. Thanks for watching. No, you can remove the email, you've pretty much answered what i needed to know, i probably just missed a setting on the tutorial, or put a patch lead in the wrong hole, they can be pretty easy to miss sometimes.
