I was shocked they cut Breeland Speaks. Former 2nd rd pick. Championship with the chiefs. Lead the USFL in sacks two years in a row. USFL Defensive player of the year. 2 sacks in the two games he played in the preseason. Seems dumb to me.
Baalke didn't want to cut Miles Cole, because of his size lol... Was willing to deal Trevis Gipson and cut DJ Coleman in order to make room for his project. Trent even got another 6th round pick in the process for next season, so he can draft another 6, 6" 285lb project. ✅
Imagine being Butthurt over cutting a former 7th round pick with one season over 5 sacks and on his 3rd team in two years…lol Ever think, maybe he just not that good? Jags not the only team that got rid of his ass. At least we didn’t trade for him like the Titans. Maybe he not versatile enough for our new coordinator? We have two nose tackles in Davon and Jefferson. Everybody else can be moved to the edge or to the 3 tech. I don’t think we could say that about Trevis. We have two linebackers near the same size as him that can play on the edge in pinch. Can he play LB? Don’t think so. If u know, u know. Trevis Gipson = Andre Branch.

I get it but his success was against guys he played against in the UFL. Maybe they thought he couldn't get higher.
