The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride DGR 2021 in London, and Bike Shed.

- I rode the 2021 DGR in London, starting at Old Street roundabout, before meeting the rest of this year's London Distinguished Gentleman's Ride riders at Bike Shed in Shoreditch, and then riding over to Richmond Park, before returning for lunch at Bike Shed.
A total of 9.5 hours riding around London- a fantastic day with great people and an incredible selection of motorcycles!
The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride raises money for prostate cancer research and men's mental health. If you've never ridden in a DGR before, I highly recommend it- really great vibes all around!

I’ve just passed my bike test three weeks ago and just purchased a bmw 1150 RT 2002 model. I have prostate cancer myself so Hopefully will make it to the next one. Great video ❤️🙏🏻🏍😎

Lol....I rode my own bike into work today and someone in the car park always has a gander...I was talking bikes to one of my colleagues and I mentioned how my wife gets fed up with my trawling through bike vids on TH-cam....I happened to mention what a cool channel yours is...a London based hipster riding a Bonny and always drinking artisan coffee !..my pal blurts our..”pah! Some long bearded hipster with a haircut like Ranulph Fiennes in Schindlers List no doubt?!”.....the look of puzzlement on his face when I said Dobbsy is a clean shaven semi skinhead!!!🤣🤣👍.......but DOES have a caffeine addiction!!! .....👌😎😉

How crazy is it to require folks to ride a particular type of bike. Seems anything with two or three wheels would be good enough. The cause for the ride is more important than what is ridden.
The rules are bollox mate. I've seen the founder admit it's to keep the corporate sponsors happy, who want a set image.

Great job mate!! We were in Germany 1958-1961 and I'll never forget those Ton Up boys and girls in full leathers, pudding bowl helmets, and goggles, riding BMW, Nsu, Dkw, Triumph, and BSA cafe motorcycles in every city in Europe. You see, our Dad, an Air Force captain, took us all over Europe on weekends and vacations. That experience led to a lifelong obsession with motorcycles that continues to this day!! I started out with a Street triple about 11 years ago as my first bike, then another street triple (R). After that a Tiger 800 (not my cup of tea) and now I'm a (very) proud owner of a Street Scrambler where the previous owner apparently thought money is no object and kitted it out with a lot of BAAK parts. Cool coverage on DGR. I’ve always wanted to join previously but was worried that my air cooled Ducati monster won’t make a cut and end up looking like a fool once I turn up.
I just got myself a Honda CB650R which is more ‘cafe’, unfortunately with lockdowns happening in Malaysia I’m going to have to wait till next year. Cool bike btw and good video keep up the good work!

Thanks! I'm too lazy to ever adjust suspension on any bike, so I just leave it how I find it😆

The reason for the new model in part is to make it clear that it’s a 1200 (well 1170cc), so many people thought the R9T was a 900 it actually hurt sales, the R9T is supposed to reflect BMW’s 90th anniversary, which is a bit silly cos the play on words only works in English!, the German for ninety is nuenzig, anyway the new model has 12 in it to denote the engine size 🙂
I have an R9T racer it’s a beautiful machine that gets compliments wherever I go, good bike to ride as well 👍

Hi , another interesting video and the dog on the trike sets the day for a good charity ride out . Have you ever attended Poole Dorset , bike night on a Tuesday , which runs from June till September , which can be an excuse for a two day jolly out of the city to the seaside . Monika is a real trooper to turn out with her infectious smile , reminds me of Sian Gibson the actress . Well done Freddie on the camera . take care and rid safe .

Every man needs at least 46 jackets, the oldest was purchased in 1973 and at least 30 pairs of boots - shoes and around 50 shirt type things .

Still the coolest guy in London..... I didn't realise there would be a gathering like this, I thought the DGR this year was a sort of 'ride your own ride' 'no groups' like last year. Oh well.... I will see you around soon! Bike Shed I feel so relaxed in, just a shame its in London to get there first. 'Baffle Haus' in Wales and 'Caffeine & Machine' near Stratford upon avon have a similar style going on. Catch you soon great to be showing your support together

Nice video, great event, nice bikes and great crowd. However, I may be wrong here but did the "mods" finally give up their scooters for real bikes?..lol. I was under the impression that the fashion minded in their "smart suits" were mods and rode scooters and those on bikes were considered "rockers". Oh well, as long as the vibe is positive and keeps the classic or classic bikes on the road it's all good.
