I believe that what the game calls helicopters are actually autogyros. Autogyros were actually first developed in Spain in the 20's. So that's why Spain starts with them
@@apainintheaas Even the image represent an autogyro, and aparently it was used in the Asturian Revolution in 1934 and it was debated about the use in the army the following years
Just to address the both of you, it's still really powerful imo, even with the civil war, helo recon and transports are really nice support companies regardless
Did you check out the new military police on motorcycles support company? It is so strong and cheap, 1 factory on motorcycle and u get a ton of them. Adds good bunch of stats onto ur division (not just garrison) for very cheap price. The only minus is that it takes up one out of the 5 support slots. But for weak minors i see that as a free win. Edit: so actually after analysing the stats, its essentially normal mp battalion, but it costs the same (which is a win) and it has more breakthrough, massive supression bonus + it has 1 recon. Essentially this is like recon company but ALOT better. (It just doesn't have recons terrain bonuses, but who cares the defence is doubled and it costs the same)
@davemiller638 its a bunch of soft attack and some other stats if i remember correctly, but the production cost is small. It also has more suppression so its perfect for garrisons. I am checking the stats in game rn. Production cost is about 50 or 60, 22 defence, supression plus 30%, recovery rate 0,04, 4 breakthrough, 1 recon, 6 soft attack, and it has a battalion modifier, all inf mot/mech, 20% recovery rate. Tbh it doesnt look that exceptional, however it actually costs 5 support equipment (which is like nothing) and 20 motorcycles, and if u actually start producing motorcycles u can see how easy they are to produce, 1 factory and u easily get hundreds. So actually the production cost turns out lower than if it would be for normal infantry battalion. So essentially its 1 infantry battalion, but takes less manpower, less actual production cost, massive supression bonus and bonus recovery rate, as well as built in recon and and higher stats for breakthrough and defence when compared to normal infantry battalion.
I don't mind America as it is in game, it really is the "sleeping giant" of democracies that's actually quite easy to take out at first, but rocks up to being easily the most powerful nation in the game if you let them mobilize, you practically need at least SOMETHING like that to beat the pact of Germany, Japan and Italy which are all fairly powerful on their own.
Kind of weird that the US doesn't get access to Sikorsky as an expert for helicopters. Made the first production helicopter that did see use in combat in WW2 in the pacific in 1944.
@@matthiuskoenig3378 I think of it as if something could be shot at by the enemy it's in a combat situation. Not to be treated the same as actually doing the combat. Attack choppers were not a thing until the 1970s. With helicopters like the hind and the Cobra.
The combination of high hardness, trickleback and reduced exp loss, the divisions where all rank 3 and some rank 4 giving an extra 50% attack. Maybe even producing AA tank and SPGs would make that hardness even higher.

To get the most breakthrough out of a single research is the longest research possible as it’s the same breakthrough value for every research that provides breakthrough regardless of time
Consolidating those units instead of just pushing through the Japanese frontline being held by one infantry division per tile to recapture a port and reconnect to the capital was painful to watch. And then he went and did it anyway. Hmm.
Asking someone where a county in a small country like England is like if I asked you where Richland County in South Carolina is. Most people know where American states are. Some US states are bigger then countries. Like you understand that the UK is about the size of the State of Alabama right? Everyone can point to England, Wales and Scotland on a map. That's the equivalent here. Not everyone is gonna know counties dude.
lol it's not even a county llandudno is a town I only know where it is because I know someone who vacationed there. Don 't ask me why my crazy aunt went to wales for vacation i have no idea.
Convoys should be able to be prioritized like fuel or deployments are, absolutely infuriating not being able to buy resources because all your convoys are taken by LL. I’d 1000% rather the LL takes slightly longer but my economy doesn’t crash.
how i think the us should be balanced, is make the politics really really complicated, and that diff parties give a big bonus in some spots, and then bad negatives for other things. that way you are forced to learn it and dal with it
Yeah even as an American the US needs nerfing. The US in 1936 was not in great shape and the recession of 1937-1938 remains (today) the third worst recession in US History and lasted from May of 1937 until June 1938. This somehow needs to be captured in the buildup phase of the game through penalties and nerfs.
Dave, I believe the reason why you dont get supply is not about your connection with your capital. I guess you get supply from the capital of china. When Chongqing become capital, there is no railway connection to the other supply deposit. Hence you get no supply.
its very infuriating how people ignore the navy, especially as USA, UK, JPN. I know how complex the naval experience can be, however for example if you play as Germany and if you build as many submarines you can flood the Atlantic Ocean with death, That's how I play as Germany and Japan. Being able to invade the US in 1941 with cruiser subs is feakin hilarious, although having to juggle navy research while researching air, ground, and industry buffs. So I can totally understand players not playing the naval game, but on the other hand in my opinion navy is super fun albeit aggravating as heck.
Honestly, there should be some kind of penalty for not having an army to guard your frontiers. Like, if Mexico had heard that America had disbanded their entire military in 1936 and sold literally all of their weapons, they would have freaking invaded to get some territory back. But Paradox fails at diplomacy/international relations as always.
Yep, i am that commenter that will say America is supposed to be OP. Ww1 started making them into a giant industrial power, and intro to ww2 events made them way more powerful. This is historically accurate. If u want a less powerful America, turn up the difficulty. The US historical path is meant to op because it was.
Do a game with landcruisers, it is totally broken. I did a game with basic 40 withd inf/arty/antitank and a lancruiser with air superiority, and I held my lines against the allies and comintern. I left my game running for a whole night and the next morning, somewhere in the 1970, I ended up killing 170 millions soviets/chinese/allies just by holding the line and I lost less than 2 millions in which the majority where from my invasion of europe

Lend lease likely stopped for China as they closed off the sea zones for their ports because of convoy raiding.
