I love how people like to say that Christopher Columbus made a "disney" version of Rent when this sequence exists. It's brutal raw and doesn't flinch at the scary and hard parts of AIDs and drug addiction.
I have my problems with chris Columbus adaptation of the musical but man this is one of the scenes that hitted hard and really captured such a brutal moment in time.

Didnt think this would make me cry the way it did in the theatre, I didnt even want to see this. So glad I did.
I’m literally fine with this whole musical EXCEPT this part where we see Angel suffering. I break down in tears.
I watched with my boyfriend and when he saw me cry at this he came and cuddled me making sure I was okay.
