We ordered this car years ago, so we’re excited to share our first impressions and review of this new luxury electric vehicle. With over 800 hp, 0 to 60 in three seconds, and over 500 miles of range, this car seems too good to be true! We break it in on a 500 mile road trip documented in this video. Lucid is one of my biggest customers and every time I have a meeting there, I get there early so I can sit in the car in their showroom. One feature you missed is the rear doors actually open up 90 degrees. Completely perpendicular to the length of the car. Cool feature. The engineer I met with last time was really proud of that feature (and the Frunk) because they were his designs. Cool car, absolutely love over Tesla, and I love the Tesla products. Yes I absolutely would buy if I could afford it!

I own a beautiful white Lucid with the 21” wheels. Waited quite some time, but I think it was worth it. The drive is like being on a carpet ride. It has it all over Tesla, but it’s not without issues. They are consistently working on them though.I was lucky enough to get the upgrade.

The 2.0 software update is a solid 180 they really listened to their customers. Wonderful car great choice on color, you should consider xpel stealth PPF for a matte white look 👌

The Benz eqs is the most beautiful and advanced evs on the market Tesla will be forgotten in 5 years as all the major auto makers will be putting out much better quality and reliability too Tesla just had the jump on all of em but now it’s closing the gap
@@cbruno12180 it has also gotten pretty bad reviews. Not sure what is more advanced about the EQS either. Sounds like someone is just a little bitter.

Yes yes and yes I will own a Lucid! This vehicle offers everything I’m looking for in an EV. I want range, performance, comfort and quality (this entry screams quality). I want it all and I want to turn heads too 😆. For my taste, this beauty checks all the boxes ✅. I’m not going to lie, if money was absolutely no concern…. I would be first in line for the Sapphire, there’s just something about owning the best of the best (on the planet 🌎 😁). This company just started production and it’s truly remarkable that their first product is this great… I think this company is going to do well, very excited to see what’s next. Yes, I would buy this car and yes, I did. Looking for delivery in the next month or two. Not in a huge hurry, let them work some more things out. I purchased it in the same configuration as this one. I after my config was complete, I was called by an inside sales person who for some reason cajoled me into going with the 19' wheels explaining that because I live in the northeast I would do better with all seasons and my range would increase. I'm disappointed in myself for allowing this as I have other vehicles that I would choose to take out in inclement weather. As for range, 470 V 510 does it really matter? Anyway the last inside sales rep I spoke to said he will do what he can to change the order, (fingers crossed) me thinks they may be running low on the availability if 21" wheels. I just saw a Lucid Grand Touring in Las Vegas yesterday. Beautiful car!
I would take this over a Tesla plaid and a Mercedes eqs any day of the week even tho I think it’s a little over priced for the overall package inside and out but it is beautiful and the styling is amazing and the power can contend with just about anything in its class. The main reason for me is it’s unique, you will get 10x more people complimenting and asking what it is because it’s so different. The eqs looks good too and I love the hyper screen but people will see the Mercedes symbol and will say to themselves “that is a dope Mercedes” but won’t come up to you like with the lucid and be amazed and intrigued to know more about it.
The good outweigh the negative. What an awesome car! Enjoy it and keep posting! We want to learn more about this space ship 🚀

I hear Tesla being mentioned a lot . I was waiting for the weight of that Lucid . They have a showroom here in Torrance but one can’t just walk in . Seen one on the road and some Rivian .

Love the car first experience with seeing one was at the test track here in Ohio a few years back they had one here testing it on a track that Honda owns out by Marysville Ohio they took the car to over 230 miles an hour
If I had the money, Lucid would be the car. This trim. This color combination. Probably the 19" wheels for the range and a little more dampening in the suspension. Beats Tesla hands down, IMHO. Tesla has been building cars for 15 years and they still have some of the worst build quality and overall reliability in the industry, despite their market share. It has gotten better recently, but it's still not good enough for the prices they're charging. Then there's Lucid with their attention to detail, actual luxury materials on the interior, massive power and range, absolutely gorgeous and thoughtful design. My only complaint with the Lucid would probably be the trunk. This car needed to be a hatch to make it perfect. And I agree the key fob could've been a lot better, too. Small things, but like you said, no car is perfect.

You have to pair the key with the driver profile & yes I dislike the key as well. Did you take the cards out of the key box! Not only is the key not substantial, but the display on the back of the key should be in a different color than the black.

I think EA pricing for the minute is not based on the speed you get delivered during the session but what your car is capable of receiving. As the "Lucio" can handle well over 150kW it will bill it on 350kW

Regarding the price difference I believe the system may have recognized that it is still the same car. Maybe just maybe moving to another pump it may have worked. I’m just thinking outside the box.

The Lucid plant is in my town. Reason for the two-tone interior is they want the driver to experience the feel of a sports car and rear passengers to experience a luxury car. Also, Lucid does not consider itself in competition with Tesla. They feel they compete with Mercedes and BMW’s.
The lights of that rx8 you can fix with brake fluid.(try it)

Toke my friend dream edition , first all systems are laggy that's why in videos every one uses the middle volume knob 😂 the doors u have to reset all the time as the pop open on their own , it's not really quit inside while driving , rear is ugly on the side , beside that the speed is on another lever but am going to be honest it's easy forgettable

Nice car: question. How much does it cost for maintenance and inspection, respectively? How about insurance? How far does it go with 4 passengers and a full trunk during the hot summer with the AC on without refueling?
As with all electric cars, there are very few moving parts compared to an ICE car. So, no oil changes, less brake wear due to regen breaking, and no transmission. Insurance will be proportional to any other $150,000 car. The main force at Lucid designed and engineered the original Tesla model S.
