I heard somewhere that SNDS changed the way people perceived women in the kpop industry, that they showed that women can do and be more. They were my first girl group that I listened to. I don't know them by name or anything but they were my introduction to kpop in general (along with BigBang). (I still remember when I used to listen to Run Devil Run on loop for 2 months) I was just getting ready to eat and you attack me with multiple videos, how dare you. Also yes Yoongi saying "listen boy" on that one Run episode immediately poped up in my mind. I swear we had the same reaction. (also jej Minho)

They did. It was after SNSD I think that girl groups started to get taken more seriously. Before them it was always male idol groups at the forefront of the kpop industry.
