Yeah everybody is astounded by that one long segment, 16 seconds long at full belting voice and interestingly enough immediately after about a seven or eight second long segment with only a half breath in between. Very few people that can do that and here she was at age 12 doing it Seated on a couch. Most vocal coaches will tell you it's best if you have to sit down to sit up straight on the edge of your seat so that your lungs can be elongated and here she is almost hunched over and she has this stupendous lung capacity. Plus, she sings absolutely correctly in every instance. Since you asked It's time to start more or less the beginning her 4 amazing NGT (Norway's got talent performances). These occurred at ages 7-8. Spoiler alert she won. The performance are short and you can watch them altogether. They're available with and without subtitles. She has almost 200 performances. She has raised millions for children's charities and performs barefoot because when she was 6 she met a young homeless and shoeless girl and gave her favorite boots from her own feet. She vowed to perform barefoot forever more. She was on AGT champions at 13 which also has 3 short amazing performances, many felt she was denied the win on that show because she wold not sign with Simon. She signed with Republic records around a year later at age 14. She and her parents want her career to go slow so she has not been promoted... Historically she only does concerts in the summer when school is out. She will be 17 shortly as her birthday is in January 10th. Enjoy.

As to when her parents knew how good she was/could be, if you watch her first audition on NGT, there is a moment toward the end of the song where her mother is wiping tears. I have read that she later said that was when she realized she would have to share Angelina with the world.
She started singing before she was 2 years old. no lie. She loved jazz more than anything. Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald .. all the classics including male singers.. she has worked hard to take on what she loved since she was very young. Clearly she had no lack of soul. She is considered a savant .. a musical genius. She does most of the arrangements for her covers. She has 5 originals. Well, when your daughter/ granddaughter sings a Whitney song in the crib at 18 months old it’s pretty clear that something unusual is going on. Her dad is from Sweden, Her Mom and uncle are officially Norwegian from an iranian Mother (Mery Zamany) and a japanese father, and at school she learned German and French but uses it very seldom. When small mom travelled and stayed with dad, as he is a engineer of a international company. Little Angelina lived at least in Iran and the USA for a couple of years. So she speaks fluently Norwegian, English, Farsi/persian and haltingly Swedish, japanese, as mom and uncle mike are also teachers of the japanese language.

An answer to your question of how she came to become a jazz singer… A big influence in her life was her grandmother who is an artist that is a painter. Who taught Angelina a lot about jazz and the different singers. She had a natural desire to want to sing you might be able to find the video of her at one and ahalf years old singing with a mic in her hand. There was a documentary on her might’ve only been 15 to 20 minutes long I’m not sure but it showed her in Norway at her home and then it showed her going out into the streets and there was a shop called “Raw Jaz” out of very young age maybe 5-6 yrs old, she would go into the record shop look through all the albums and then put on a set of headphones and listen to some music. Perhaps that background will help you out.

Yeah everybody is astounded by that one long segment, 16 seconds long at full belting voice and interestingly enough immediately after about a seven or eight second long segment with only a half breath in between. Very few people that can do that and here she was at age 12 doing it Seated on a couch. Most vocal coaches will tell you it's best if you have to sit down to sit up straight on the edge of your seat so that your lungs can be elongated and here she is almost hunched over and she has this stupendous lung capacity. Plus, she sings absolutely correctly in every instance. You will never see tension in her neck like many other vocalists where you can see the big veins bulging out of the side but never with Angelina

Since you asked It's time to start more or less the beginning her 4 amazing NGT (Norway's got talent performances). These occurred at ages 7-8. Spoiler alert she won. The performance are short and you can watch them altogether. They're available with and without subtitles. She has almost 200 performances. She has raised millions for children's charities and performs barefoot because when she was 6 she met a young homeless and shoeless girl and gave her favorite boots from her own feet. She vowed to perform barefoot forever more. She was on AGT champions at 13 which also has 3 short amazing performances, many felt she was denied the win on that show because she wold not sign with Simon. She signed with Republic records around a year later at age 14. She and her parents want her career to go slow so she has not been promoted... Historically she only does concerts in the summer when school is out. She will be 17 shortly as her birthday is in January 10th. Enjoy.

As to when her parents knew how good she was/could be, if you watch her first audition on NGT, there is a moment toward the end of the song where her mother is wiping tears. I have read that she later said that was when she realized she would have to share Angelina with the world.
AJ is one of the most special people on the planet, she plays keyboard, guitar, flute, and violin. She is not of this earth!
She started singing before she was 2 years old. no lie. She loved jazz more than anything. Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald .. all the classics including male singers.. she has worked hard to take on what she loved since she was very young. Clearly she had no lack of soul. She is considered a savant .. a musical genius. She does most of the arrangements for her covers. She has 5 originals. I believe she now has more than 200 videos on a You Tube .. mostly covers, her 5 originals and some interviews. Well, when your daughter/ granddaughter sings a Whitney song in the crib at 18 months old it’s pretty clear that something unusual is going on.
Angelina has been working with a strong desire ever sense. Learning jazz classics when she was 3 yo. At 3 also tells her mommy she wants to sing on that Simon show. It all plays out like a movie from there.
But the hard work and devotion from Angelina is the difference, along with the family wisdom and support from day one.
Next she joins an after school program and starts singing in their music studio. Sings 4 songs in said studio at 6/7yo. Etta James 1968 I believe. 'I’d Rather Go Blind' I saw Cadillac Records (the story of Etta James & Cadillac Records) and Beyoncé killed that song. How old was she in that? Angelina was 12 here got the mic for her birthday and what an investment. Here is Angelina, just sitting, sitting on the couch singing into the mic backwards, purposely or not and belting out the best rendition I have ever heard. I was instantly transported back to 1968 when I was 13. That was at the very height of Motown probably my favorite period in music. That music was magical. Angelina could have been born in '56 and she would have been one of best Motown Artists of the time in '68 and doing it at 12 yrs old. I can guarantee Angelina picked out that mic and again what a choice.
She has now equaled all of the greatest artists of all time. The GOAT! And she's only 16! 16! The Music Industry isn't prepared for what is coming. Not sure I am. Yet, with only watching a few of her performances, jazz is now my goto music. When she began teaching herself how to sing, she fell in love with these titans of yesteryear. Talents such as Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Frank Sinatra became her heroes. She can even bring her jazzy-blues into any sing she wanted to. As you understand, Angelina herself is in complete controll of her musical achevements. - Over her breath. - Over what songs to pick. And of course, - how to sing them 🤩 Her parents influense is more like an input for adjustments as it comes to songs that carry lyrics not sutable for such a young child. Her dad is from Sweden, Her Mom and uncle are officially Norwegian from an iranian Mother (Mery Zamany) and a japanese father, and at school she learned German and French but uses it very seldom. When small mom travelled and stayed with dad, as he is a engineer of a international company. Little Angelina lived at least in Iran and the USA for a couple of years. So she speaks fluently Norwegian, English, Farsi/persian and haltingly Swedish, japanese, as mom and uncle mike are also teachers of the japanese language.

Norwegian & Sweden were one country until 1905 and both languages more to be considered to be 2 different dialects when speaking to each other (we understand 80-85% when reading texts). An answer to your question of how she came to become a jazz singer… A big influence in her life was her grandmother who is an artist that is a painter. Who taught Angelina a lot about jazz and the different singers. She had a natural desire to want to sing you might be able to find the video of her at one and ahalf years old singing with a mic in her hand. There was a documentary on her might’ve only been 15 to 20 minutes long I’m not sure but it showed her in Norway at her home and then it showed her going out into the streets and there was a shop called “Raw Jaz” out of very young age maybe 5-6 yrs old, she would go into the record shop look through all the albums and then put on a set of headphones and listen to some music.
