Mackems got battered in this game in what was a glorified training drill for Newcastle. They could have won 6-0 easily if they wanted to! Huge difference between these big and small clubs now
I could well imagine Sunderland fans would happily see their club relegate to League One in exchange for Newcastle to miss out on Euro-spots, and vice versa the latter wouldn't mind finishing 8th at best if that meant Sunderland didn't get promoted to Premier League 😬
Newcastle didn’t get out of second gear, first half Sunderland didn’t lay a glove on us, it was so comfortable. I was shocked at how bad Sunderland were, for a team 6th in the championship if that was their best display for the biggest game in years then they really don’t deserve to get to the premier league. I would predict them getting less points than they did for the 2005/06 which was like 15 points if that’s the sort of performance they dish up on a regular basis. @@toont6749 Not really but it is their grounds are a real derby only 4 & ahalf miles apart in Englands 3rd largest city plus Sheffield is the birthplace of football & a great boxing city! Newcastle and Sunderland are two different places
As you say sunderland vs newcastle is a great rivalry, NOT a derby. Cleary a derby is contested by two teams in the SAME city, NOT 30 mins away 🤣. Steel city, second city, manchester, liverpool and bristol are some great derbies
We’ve hated each other since the English Civil War, so it’s not going to ease anytime soon😆. But I will say, even as a Geordie, I want the Mackems in the Premier League, as I love a derby. My favourite derby would probably be Boca/River, but a special mention to Hammarby/Djurgarden.
See you didn’t really see normal trouble that happens during our derbies in the past . This one was so well policed this time round with there being 6000 Geordies . We weren’t aloud tickets unless we all got bus and got marched short journey walk into ground and only filtered 10 buses in at a time . They then kept us for over hour inside the ground and only let us leave the same way filtered out . Your seat wasn’t great either you got stitched there . Was still okay atmosphere from both sets of fans but nothing compared to past Derbys
Many supporters of either club actually work together. However, when it comes to football the rivalry can be easily explained - it's pure out and out hatred of each other.
They killed it once newcastle got all their money. Its no longer a derby,as one side has unlimited resources and the other cant compete on the same scale. Sad, considering it used to be a great fixture....theres no fun if one team just rolls up and wins because of money.... Over time , its importance will diminish..
It's not a true derby. They're not from the same city, it's comparable to man city v Bolton or man it'd v Blackburn . 6man city v man utD or Liverpool v Everton are derbies.
Man City and Man Utd aren’t technically in the same city. Sometimes same city derbies can be tame as close to home. This has all the ingredients for a proper rivalry. Biggest in England for passion
@@SerotoninRelease. I did know it, but only because I'm a retired classical musician. I didn't mean it in any way insulting. It's just unusual to have a classical walk-out score. I'm willing to bet most Newcastle fans don't know ours either. ("O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana).

Ye it’s weird because you love a derby but hate them for the nerves but totally agree that derby should be played in the premier league
Interesting to see it from the unwashed side, that display was embarrassing for them. Shows there's levels to this supporter stuff.
Pointless question all derbies are special to their fans...
They are but some are certainly better than others and this one is right up there.
The rivalry today was timid. Usually there's absolutely hell on. We expected a defeat and it happened.
Think police actually handled it fairly decent and the bus to ground kept you all apart
Same as ,pal
Sorry didn't get the win this time! Up the Black Cats! From your SWFC Friends! 🦉
Well he was right about ballard
See you didn’t really see normal trouble that happens during our derbies in the past . This one was so well policed this time round with there being 6000 Geordies . We weren’t aloud tickets unless we all got bus and got marched short journey walk into ground and only filtered 10 buses in at a time . They then kept us for over hour inside the ground and only let us leave the same way filtered out .
Your seat wasn’t great either you got stitched there .
Was still okay atmosphere from both sets of fans but nothing compared to past Derbys
To be fair I wud of sat on top of the stadium just to be part of the atmosphere. Was a game I’ve always wanted to cover
Many supporters of either club actually work together. However, when it comes to football the rivalry can be easily explained - it's pure out and out hatred of each other.
That’s it mate football is a passion and I bloody love it
Great win for Newcastle.
Deserved to. Thanks for watching
Funniest thing on the day apart from them decking out their own bar in black & white was their 'display' 🤣🤣.
Absolutely pathetic.

It is a belter that’s for sure

Favourite Derby,the Steel City Derby 🦉,abroad the Rome Derby,Lazio 🩵 v Roma💩
Ye a belter the steel city derby.
What are they gonna sing now that the 6 in a row nonsense is over?
There winning days are over they won't win another Derby for at least a 100 years
It was already over? Our last game before this they didn't win?
@@Jake97x you do realise you have been relegated twice in recent years
Newcastle didn't get out of first gear smb
🤣🤣🤣 didn’t need to get out of any gear. Poor performance from Sunderland.
@@aroundthegrounds1 I think they left the hand brake on =)
They killed it once newcastle got all their money. Its no longer a derby,as one side has unlimited resources and the other cant compete on the same scale. Sad, considering it used to be a great fixture....theres no fun if one team just rolls up and wins because of money.... Over time , its importance will diminish..
Easiest win I've seen in a tyne wear game. Atmosphere wasn't great. Think sunland mugs knew they were getting beat before kick off
On paper should of been nothing but a Newcastle win with the team they put out compared to Sunderland. Just Sunderland went about it all the wrong way
The Manchester Derby isn’t ’touristy’ if you come from Manchester 👍🏻
I get that mate just doesn’t have the same feel as years ago.
Tbf *most* of their fans *don’t* come from Manchester 😄
😂😂😂😂😂
God help you Sunderland Beale out his depth again from a Glasgow rangers fan
Strange appointment I feel with his failure at rangers
where did everyone go? Awful seat BTW
crap view, crap team and crap club, infact everything about blunderland is crap even there few fans
It's not a true derby. They're not from the same city, it's comparable to man city v Bolton or man it'd v Blackburn . 6man city v man utD or Liverpool v Everton are derbies.
What are you on about? So only teams from within the same city are classed as a derby haha. Come on man, give your head a wobble.
Don't know why you don't look up what derby means before spouting this drivel, it's a google away mate.
Liverpool and Everton fans sit together ffs
Yeah that’s comparable to you, you’re not from the area so you know nowt
Man City and Man Utd aren’t technically in the same city. Sometimes same city derbies can be tame as close to home. This has all the ingredients for a proper rivalry. Biggest in England for passion
SUNDERLAND GET BATTERED EVERYWHERE THEY GO SUNDERLAND GET BATTERED EVERYWHERE THEY GO
I wonder how many Mackems can even name that classical work they use to come onto the pitch? C'mon, let's have it!
I mean can you? I'll help you. it's Prokofiev: Remeo and Julliet, Op. 64: no 13, Dance of the Knights
Republica? 🤣
@@Robert.Sheard Sorry I've just been in defensive mode since the derby haha. I agree, I don't think many know from either team. It's nice to talk to someone who's talented and knowledgeable. I admit my knowledge of classical music is actually extremely limited 😅
No worries about the derby hangover. I'm not local so for me the rivalry is more theoretical than actual anyway 😂@@SerotoninRelease.
Hv sunderland got dentists 😂😂

Cud of been 6 like shite without out us gifting yous the 3 goals wud off been o.o
Great video as always Newcastle fan we are north east top dogs 🐕
Thanks for watching 🙌
Interesting to hear a lot of mags slagging off the dosplay. There was a massive sportswashing one planned, with the words 'no blood on our hands', but it got pulled by the owners last minute. Seemingly you are not allowed to protest nufc's vlile saudi owners. That was the quietest away support i have ever seen at the sol.Forgot they were there. The mags support is the prawn sarnie brigade now. Corporate plastic new money fans.
Sunderland fans singing due Geordie die want to be ashamed of themselves. Disgusting behaviour.
Hu makams knuckle draggers away home to draw more flags with there thick crayons
All this animosity, I can only imagine how you lot felt as each of those three totally avoidable Newcastle goals went in. Suck it. Suck it right up :)
Are Ya a Mekum
No bud haha
This season we faced the ultras of psg and dortmund and Sunderland bring to the table tin foil flags 🤣🤣🤣
Pathetic support , pathetic town, pathetic team
I’m saddened that this game marked the death of old school derbies tho. This shit show just shows the smbs are clueless on both the pitch and off it. They should just stick to their the cheesy chips and seagulls, oh at that drone of six in a row 🤣 that served them well 🤣back to the drawing board eh? ….. SMB
Love there kitchen foil flags. Who did Northumbria hire the bikes off? Last time people were bussed like that the Nazis were in charge. Disgraceful way to treat free people. Shame on Northumbria Chief Constable, bet she was at home making the tea, if not should be. The young kid was right I one of his scorers. Bollard did well also got mom for the town. Some sad mackems later on eh. Loved the way they crept out.
Football's gone very corporate with flag waving fans not the same as the old days
Biggest rivalry in England 🤣 don’t take the piss every Newcastle fan behind that goal was wearing club merchandise.
NUFC weren’t allowed any flags or bags. Club provided free water and snacks + a scarf. The price was being herded like cattle.
A replica shirt is club merchandise. Are you saying no one should wear scarves and football tops at football matches? Weird.
Also, the fans paid for the scarves and the coaches by the way, the club organised it. £150,000 was raised. 🤡
I know lads that wear replica shirts to football that would put your stone island mob on their arse in two seconds flat ffs!!
@@jamjam2833 🤣🤣🤣🤣 touch a nerve did I
