that's a chill town... i almost saw KRS1 in Santa Barbara... i was drinking, dancing, being stupid at a bar, before he started rapping, but one of the guys i was drinking with started acting like he owned the floor, i think, it was like... a 50s movie where they dance and fight, but i had been in bar fights so i half expected him to hit me... there was an exchange of near miss to the face dance moves, and we got kicked out for being disorderly. That was 20 years ago when rap was more gangster... it is ironic we just happened to be there when an intellectual rapper was on stage... it didn't seem out of line for a rap concert, but there's a peaceful vibe in Santa Barbara. We did not get served.
