Great winners! I knew a few answers for round 1, had 3 Jane Austen and a couple Charles Dickens titles for round 2 (there were others I thought would have really high scores, though none did), recognized all cities, knew 3 of the previous jobs, but knew no pointless answers for the final question.
Grauman's Chinese Theatre was renamed Mann's Chinese Theatre in 1973 but reverted to its original name in 2001. In 2013, Chinese electronics manufacturer TCL purchased the naming rights for $5 million, so calling it that counts as advertising.
When Alexander asks them what they would do with the money BEFORE the first answer gets checked, you just know it's going to be pointless right off the bat.
@@McMxxCiV I've watched an episode just yesterday where he did it right away and none of the answers were pointless. He does it at some point in the process, but it has nothing to do with whether or not the first answer is pointless.
I've binged on a lot of episodes of Pointless and 99% of the time he asks it before the any of the points are shown. I think that's the point, many times the first answer could be pointless after all.
19th century literature was shockingly bad. I wonder if the audience was younger. SPOILER ALERT!!! A Christmas Carol, Pride and Prejudice should have been near 100, let alone the others. I went for Tenant of Wildfell Hall. I thought Cranford would be too high.
thoroughly deserved jackpot win, well done
Excellent episode. I thought Adam's facial expression was a bit like Rowan Atkinson
Adam has a face resembles rowan atkinson. Alex will need to grab a book to read after the show

Wow these finalists.... this is nuts

He always does that. Doesn't mean they got it roght.
@@joanneaugust6611 Nope. He usually does it after checking the first answer.

40:33 - Pointless Answer
These are career quiz show people, clearly.
Guys an arsehole
A gambling addict mocking Richard whose sitting on millions lol
Yeah but Richard's books are shit though.
I am from Chatsworth, Durban in South Africa and I love this show. Please help me if you have a compassionate heart..

Depends on what you class as young. I've never heard of Gaskell or Thackery and I'm 43. Had 4 answers.
I did great expectations
But in 100 seconds, it's hard to name all of them. I think a lot of people think "A Christmas Carol" is called Scrooge.
