  • This short film provides an introduction to Tullich Church, near Ballater in Aberdeenshire, and the work which has been carried out to digitally record this important building. In 2017, the church and graveyard were laser scanned and 3D models created by Marianthi Leon and Richard Laing of Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and the Built Environment, RGU. The information gathered provides a snapshot of the building at one moment in time, but can also be used to better understand the building, how it was constructed and where structural issues might be. The recording work formed part of an extensive programme of works undertaken at Tullich to stabilise the church and graveyard and to reinstate a collection of Early Medieval carved stones in a new display space.
