    Daniel, I have a 1975 Mint Set, a 1975-D Mint Set, a 1975 Proof Set, and a 1976 Proof Set - They are part of my Collection. Personally, I do not care how much they care worth, they are not for sale, I just think it is really Cool to have this Distinct Date as part of my Collection. You know what I am talking about!

    DANIEL, i remember that summer as the time i saved all my earnings for a week so i could buy a couple of rolls of these quarters talk about a hard thing for a soon to be 12 year old, they are still one of the best quarters out there

    PCGS rarely gives an Ike dollar a 70 grade. Yet you look at high grade ones and its sometimes very, very hard to find a flaw. IMO the profitable-for-PCGS "gamble" factor is kept alive by this practice.

    • @blake7587
      @blake7587 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually getting a 70 from PCGS on ANY coin is tough.
      For example I sent in my 2021 Morgans straight from the Mint and they were still sealed and some still came back 69.

  • @tamtamvercher5433

    Kinda off the subject, but after watching your PCGS coin submission I finially decided to send in what I am positive to be a 1964 SMS Jefferson nickel, FS and Beautiful! Your right it isn't cheap, considering I used "Walk-through". I had 4 free vouchers that I used on some lincoln cents that I have high hopes on as well. Thanks for all the great information you provide and all the shared PCGS submissions you get back 😊

    I sent off a MS set of silver and one silver proof set as well off and the MS set came back as MS67 for all but they look 68 if not maybe 69 but yanno PCGS didn't see it but they gave me a 25C Silver PR70DCAM on my quarter and 69DCAM on half and Ike. I got them back from the mint when I was a kid and finally sent them in a few years ago and I think I did well.

    I have a proof quarter that I bought in 1976 and had doubling on the reverse lettering and the drummer’s face. I always wondered if there was any extra value to it. I did not get it from the mint but bought from a dealer. I was a kid but still have this coin.

      If you find them to have value to yourself, buy them. Love them. Collect them. Are they interesting coins? Sure! I love my silver 3 piece proof set, it's fun to display. Valuable? Not so much.These coins were made in huge quantities, two full years of mintage. They were saved by the millions at the time they were minted. So there are a lot of these coins in high uncirculated grades and people who want them can get them with ease or already have them. Large supply and small demand = low prices.

    HE WAS A DRUMMER MAN! UNITED COLONIES OF AMERICA ARMY DRUMMER

    • @CoinHELPu
      @CoinHELPu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chill out and get ready to learn something. The most famous Drummer under Washington was14-year-old Burdick, so not all drummer person's were grown man. People think this is a depiction of Burdick but it is not. It's actually not of anyone. Read what the designer had to say below:
      "The drummer on the back of the quarter, though not inspired by anyone in real life, is certainly not nameless. Mr. Ahr told me that while he was laboriously sculpting the relief that would become the mold for the quarter, his children, for no reason in particular, nicknamed the drummer in the design "Luther." Mr. Ahr told me that if someone was looking for him, his children would respond, "He's downstairs working on Luther."
      So you see, the guy on the quarter isn't anyone who ever was a drummer or in an army or anything. Just an artist's creation.
