First story is Double Sin, read by Hugh Fraser. Then - 27:29 The Wasps’ Nest, read by Hugh Fraser 47:12 The Theft of the Royal Ruby (didn’t recognise actor’s voice) 1:05:03 music interrupts the story!! 1:07:55 The Theft of the Royal Ruby recommences 2:21:30 The Dressmaker’s Doll (read by Anna Massey) - this story breaks off before the end
Superb stories well narrated, with Bizarre musical interruption at 1.05 into the stories, during the story of Poirot spending Christmas at LingsLacy! The interuption lasts for about 5mins.
Thanks for the warning. I like to listen to these going to sleep but inserting the music (which does NOT actually prevent a copyright claim) wakes me up every time. I’ll skip this one.
I don't really mind the musical interlude. However it would be super nice of the music flowed with the tone of the story and not such a jarring cachophy.
Awful noises in the middle of the story purporting to be singing and music. Why doesn’t someone be honest with the noise makers and tell them that if they were any good , their offerings would not be squeezed into odd places which is disrespectful to the story reader and dishonesty on the part of the person causing the disruption.
This is common now on this platform 😢 oddly the "music" isn't introduced or mentioned in the comments... bizarre method of marketing... 🙏 some would suggest such auditory constructs, especially when asleep,... could be used as a form of subliminal programming... maybe fortunate we stayed awake 🤔 All my own opinion d'acord 🙏
@@snowysnowyriver Does this mean that the stories have been purloined? Are these stories being illegally used and does this mean that I have been promoting this behaviour by listening to them on TH-cam?

2 minutes of horrible music and singing

I also heard that, so sttrannge.
The interruption is for "fair use" copyright reasons.
Good to know. Thx
the music ends around 1:07:57

This is lovely. One of the best reads by all.

Excellent Narrator
Multiple narrators, listen more.

Thank you! This is awesome!
Do like this one.
Please fix the transcript machine. Otherwise, I always enjoy these stories and readers.
Thank you for this upload. Please could you add the start time for each story?
Um.....what happened with the doll?
Check part 2
The music in the middle is odd.
Posters often add a music break to defy copyright.
I just fast forwarded that music.

The interruption is for copyright reasons. Breaking up the book into sections helps with this. The alternative is adverts.
