To your question to Asa's performance, Its a cover of the Joiner Lucas remix of Look alive, which was originally a Drake song. But she switched some of Joiner's lyrics out which were already changed from Drake's original. I'm already looking for her inevitable solo project in a few years :D
The individual talent of these girls is unbelievable. Like you say, they have the talent to be the next big group, YG has to just manage them right.
They've showed some behind the scenes videos of the group on BabyMonster's official youtube channel, the clips span from 2018 to 2022 and you can hear YG speaking all the time, guy never stepped down, just removed his name from the paperwork for a bit.

Asa performed a Joyner Lucas remix song "look alive" by Drake, Asa just changed some parts like "This is Hiroshima, this is Nagasaki" that might offended her & her country into "This is panorama, this is life`s a movie" which is a reference from her YG artists MENTORS

out of all performances i think it safe to say that RUKA's performance seems like being recorded pretty recently cuz judging by the set up nor the camera angles alone that's clearly not the typical monthly evaluation recording in YGE 😂(unless if that's part of her final monthly evalution before becomin a group with other member)
it's cuz all of haram, chiquita, asa, phrita, and ruka's performance videos are meant for this debut introduction videos and not monthly evaluation.

Yess it was. YG says you can use any props to make your stage. The girls are required to give a performance. From makeup, styling, mixing music, writing lyrics dance routine to usages of props. Even lightning can be used. I think in this case... Ruka is the oldest in the group and if I'm correct the longest trainee. I think she knew who could help her make the stage.

At YG recorded this last year or even earlier. The dance performance should be telling but people still think the videos are brand new. BABYMONSTER went from 5 to 7 members in 2020-2021. So the video is from right when the new building was opened for the artist.
Blackpink BBHMM was filmed in 2015 and used as promo for the girls befor their profiles was released fee days later. It's nothing new.
Also.... if you use your brain... YG never gives away how talented they are off from the bat. That's for their debute. Just like treasure was debuted year later from survival, IKON and WINNER too. It's a YG thing.
The girls are getting introduction video separately and it started with Ruka.
They are going to be an amazing group!!! No mediocre group at all!!! YG doesn’t debut just anyone. No groups from YG are mediocre at all. Let’s keep in mind that BABYMONSTER girls are minors with exception of RUKA who are pursuing their dreams and they’re amazing artists already at such young age. I’m sure they will continue to improve as years go by.
