Not sure if you remember the BlackPink Sure Thing Cover. YG has this thing where they test the trainee's monthly. The BP Sure Thing cover where they took original lyrics and had to add their own lyrics (Jennie and Lisa co-wrote original rap add-on) and then had to perform it for their test. Baemon goes through the same thing, they are trained not to just sing or rap other people's work, they MUST show creativity in writing with lyrics or change chord progressions away from the original. If you cannot show originality or creativity those are points that go against you which lead to getting cut from the group (Blackpink was once 9 girls as PinkPunk).
It's ironic how they make the girls of bp write lyrics as trainees only to almost never let them write, it seems pointless. I hope that's not the case for babymonster.
