@@Sunshineandroses1 Yeah, WiFi6 means 802.11ax. It's just a standard for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. It's still dual barnd. Wi-Fi 6e is TRI-band and goes on into the 6ghz range. As well all know, higher frequencies = shorter ranges but faster speeds. Takes more power to push a higher frequency the same distance. So, Wi-Fi 6e also has less range, so don't expect to be picking up on it outside of your house, but you can always fall back to Wi-Fi6 and use the 5ghz band. Wi-Fi 6e 80hz is 1.2Gbps and then there's even 160mhz in some parts of the country or world and that's 2.4Gbps. But, remember, you can take your best case scenario Wi-Fi 6e 160mhz and bandwidth benchmark it against 2.5Gbps LAN and LAN > WiFI all day, every day for true throughput.
@@chazzx7897 But is there actually a difference in real live scenario? What benefits does a Wifi 6e router gives compared to a Wifi 6 router? besides the 6e having a third 6GHz channel that has a pretty low range, most devices will connect to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz (through Wifi 6 protocols), so that makes the 6e kinda useless for the time being? Thats how i understood it, i might be wrong so please correct me.
I upgraded to W6 in oct 2019 right when I got fiber Internet. It is amazing easily got 750 up-and-down over the air. but now that I have multi gig, I upgraded to W6E. I’m easily able to get 1800 OTA on supported devices. But it’s still only a fraction of my Internet speed. Hopefully Wi-Fi 7 can get real multi-gig around 4 to 5 Gbps on Wi-Fi. If it could be that fast, it would virtually eliminate the need for me to use my wired network.
@@Everything2A i think for my home regardless of wifi 6 or 7, cos its concrete and the rooms line in a straight line(single floor flat), a mesh system is still necessary to keep up the speeds
I upgraded my mesh system all to 6e routers. The benefit i see most outside of increased speeds is zero interference. There is literally no one around me on the 6ghz band. So my devices can communicate uninterrupted on any 6 ghz channel. Most people are just now starting to utilize more wifi 6 devices so 6 ghz channels are still widely unused right now. Very good video!

I am still planning on Wi-Fi7, but that is only because I need a wireless bridge between buildings, and the building where fiber comes onto the property is not the primary residence. I don't expect being able to be able to use Wi-Fi7 on end devices for a while, but I do want it for the bridge. If only I'd have been smart enough to bury a pipe before pouring all that concrete. And yes, I know an overhead wire would be the simplest, but I absolutely don't want an overhead wire.
