My grandmother knew a person who got buried alive . Few hours after burial , he woke up in grave and screamed for help. No one heard him except one man, but he thought he was hallucinating . At the end he decided to tell the family of the buried person that something was screaming from his grave . They rushed to dig up the grave but , it was too late . They found him sitting in one corner of grave ,dead. And on walls of grave ( which were made from wood) there were many marks from nails because that guy scratched the walls to try to escape.
That is terrifying. If only the guy who heard him dig up the grave as soon he heard that poor guy. May he rest in peace

I was buried alive for 4 minutes when I was 14. I dug a hole in the side of a hill & it caved in on me. I could not inhale for 4 minutes. No matter how bad you think it is...... it's a 100 times worse. I still have the newspaper article laminated to prove it.

My friend’s dad told me a really creepy story. One of his associates is a mortician, and he had fetched this recently deceased old lady from a nursing home. He had her on the table and was about to make the incision in her neck to drain the blood when she sat up straight. Turns out she wasn’t dead!!! She definitely couldn’t have woken at a better time or she’d had really died from being embalmed ALIVE…
Don’t know which one is worse:
1. Burning to death
2. Drowning
3. Buried alive

I've heard that drowning isn't that bad. Apparently your brain sets off a chemical that relaxes you and puts you in a somewhat "euphoric" state, at least after the initial struggle. So out of the three, I think I'd choose drowning. I don't even like summer, so burning to death is out of the question. And being buried alive would be worst because you'd have quite a bit of time to think about the inevitable.
I got fired from my job because I kept asking my customers whether they would prefer Smoking or Non-smoking.
Apparently, the correct terms are Cremation and Burial.

When I was four, my car plunged into mud and it started sinking. Luckily, my dad pulled me and my brother out of the car, before we copletely sank, but after that, I'm so, so afraid of being drowned in sand or mud.

I actually have epilepsy, 6 years ago I died to death at the hospital from from seizures I was having.... Thank God they weren't so fast to put my body In the ground. Poor lady... Epilepsy's no joke and if anyone know an epileptic give them support and love because it's necessary..
Now the idea of zombies makes a whole lot more sense.
My Great Grandfather had this happen to him when he was 80 years old. No bell but a worker heard him screaming.

I remember reading a story on a news website about a woman who had been buried alive. She'd been knocked out by her fiance who then tied her up and gagged her, then stuffed her into a cardboard box and buried it in the woods. She was lucky and managed to escape by using her engagement ring to cut the bonds and also because the grave was quite shallow.

I have taphephobia, which stems from claustrophobia specifically towards spaces so small I'm unable to move or leave, such as crawling through thin vents.
But I'm watching this video and others to push away that fear by being prepared
I have an intense fear of small enclosed spaces, hence I don't want to be buried, but will still end up in a n enclosed coffin, the older I get the more I can't stop thinking about it with dread.
Cycle over,, have you watched the jon Jones, case ? he got stuck upside down in a cave called nutty putty, poor man, died after being upside down in that cave, after 28 hours.

Rip out the heart and see if it is beating. if it is not beating, the person is dead.

The concept of death where your body is physically dead but, somehow your consciousness is still alive and attached to your body.
If you get put in a coffin. Thats just another layer of being buried alive. No matter how loudly you want to cry out, no matter how much you're suffering, no one can hear you, or even perceive that your consciousness is still alive.
I'm not religious or even superstitious but, this idea keeps me up at night sometimes.
Just cremate my body and scatter my ashes in the wind.

yes, but that's just human imagination creating unrealistic scenarios of perfect misery. It's a result of our species having existential fears of eternal misery and eternal loneliness. This is also why the horror concept of the "backrooms" was created, also has the same essence of existential dread. But it is all just part of our brain's unconscious.

I had a great great great grandfather who was almost buried alive he got into an accident and what happened to him is similar to what happened to the dude on the motorcycle so he got into a car accident and his car flipped over because cars back then were lighter then they are now and it flipped and rolled and his window broke while it was rolling and he passed out and was in a coma for a little while like 3 days or more I’m not quite sure I don’t remember and he had head injuries and the dude at the morgue was lazy and just presumed him dead because he wasn’t waking up and no one decided to check his pulse since he was in a coma with head injuries that were graphic but not all that terrible just a lot of blood and wounds and scratches all over his body so he was in the morgue and about to be embalmed and etc but they started working on him and his fingers moved and the morgue guy I don’t know what you call them started freaking out and ran out of the building and came back after thinking he moved him in a certain way for his fingers to move them he went back inside just to see him touching his head with his eyes half way opened then the doctors and cops came and he was taken to the hospital and he lived to be 74 years old
Try having the combination of the most painful condition known and locked in syndrome where you become a prisoner in your body and entirely conscious and able to feel. I have the former and the latter i show signs post severe head/brainstem injury. Thats what i get to fear. Living trapped in a body thats in unfathomable agony until my organs finally fail from stress and loss of brain signal. If you think im joking google locked in syndrome and trigeminal neuralgia, technically painful post traumatic trigeminal neuropathy which is the most persistent and hardest to manage form. Literally like a constant red hot nail being hammered into your mouth from your teeth up into your eye ball 24/7.
Far worse things than death, im living in a few of em.

the bells that were put on the gravestone were actually there as a safety mechanism. So that way if someone were presumed deceased but actually they are alive they could be hastily dug back up from the earth again.
That hot poker thing kinda got me though…..you’d think there would be another….um….less invasive way to figure out if someone has died i.e you could try to see if they are still breathing by feeling or watching closely or even feel or listen for their heartbeat. Not sticking a very hot object where the sun don’t shine 😵
Note to self, change will to not autopsy or embalm for at least 2 weeks.
