If the blood in your veins is stirring, if the goosebumps are raised on your body, if your chest is swelling with pride, if tears are filling your eyes and your chest is swelling with pride, then you're a member of the clan. I have always felt that the Scots and Irish were closely related and every time I hear the pipes and drums, that thought is re-affirmed by the way my body responds to it. Long Live the Irish...and may the Scots one day be free!

Irish blood and English blood floods my veins on my fathers side one half each his fathers parents were one full blooded Irish married an English girl and they moved to America to get away from their families who objected to the marriage because a Catholic didn’t marry an Anglican. His mother parents were a English man who married an Irish girl same story, family didn’t like it so they came to America. Then his parents married but his dad’s mother interfered for years and his mom was over 40 when they married, she had a daughter when she was 42 and my dad was born in 1925 when his mother was 45 years old. Pretty amazing. I love all of the UK. I was lucky to get to tour all of it in 2011, I felt so home. We got to go to the Military Tattoo at Edinburgh, it was wonderful.

@@TisEyerish1 I know what they did and I saw the statues of the Irish walking to the ship to board to escape the starvation. I cried when I saw how skinny they were. I think the English still keep their people in slavery. The monarchy owns all of the farm land and the farmer can’t own it. My English ancestors married Irish and came to America to be free. When I visited all of the countries my love was for Ireland but I enjoyed seeing everything. I don’t like anybody using other people and taking advantage of them. I had an English man say when they found out we were from America something to the effect that we rebelled against them and didn’t take their domination of us. He said we were the people who got away from British rule. You do know we fought the American Revolution and sent the King our Declaration of Indepence don’t you. We dumped the tea in the Boston Harbor and refused to pay the tax to Britain. I know the truth about the potato famine that the English took all of the food from the Irish farmers. I think the poverty that the English people live in even now while the monarchy live in such splendor and excess is very unfair. The cost of upkeep of all of the Queens palaces and the staff needed to maintain them is ridiculous. Most of the English live in tiny little places and I know how bad the health care is. We had better health care here in America but Obama got elected by the Black people and white people believing him that they were going to get something for free. The left is trying to make promises of free things now but America I believe aren’t buying it now but I worry they plan on cheating big time again to try and win. We will see what this election brings but I don’t think America will ever be a socialist country. There may be a big fight coming. There are many men willing to defend our country again. I’m not happy with the Irish voting for abortion and becoming more secular. I’m not happy with this pope. I’m not happy with what the Catholic Church has become, that’s why I don’t go and I don’t give them any money. There seems to be the never ending struggle of one group trying to dominate another group instead of living peacefully. Greed is a terrible thing.
