I don't think the dark micas are bad at all! The colours remind me of a rose themed piano bench that my grandmother did in needlepoint back in the 1960s (on black aida). It's still beautiful to this day!

It looks beautiful Julie. Next time maybe you should not put the inks in the centre of the mould, but think about the centre of your bloom then the colour would be in the centre of that. And maybe a lighter pink for the roses would look nice ❤ x

What kind of white paint do you use to mix in your resin for your flowers and fireworks?
It's a bloom paste she created. I think it's available on her eBay and Amazon stores.
Not sure about the chemistry of the polyurethane resin, but it seems to "naturally" cure white with no additives. A black type might not be possible without additives, and anything extra thrown in might just make the cure time longer, so the performance factor might not be there as a saleable product, yet. It's certainly worth testing the white to see if it slows down with heavy color saturation to make something other than white, even if it couldn't be black because of how it cures normally. With the tiniest amount reasonable; a white piece unmodified, and a colored piece to see if there's a duration difference. Dyed before the hardening agent is added, of course, for even color distribution. 🤔
