@@reppingl he’s better than any linebacker that was on the roster last year lol I’m not expecting him to be a top LB. Ideally he will still be good and also provide a lot of knowledge and leadership to all of the younger LBs on the team.
Dan Quinn was the correct hire. He’s a leader and a motivator. People, coaches and players love playing for him. Being a good head coach is more than calling good plays. We have awesome coordinators for that. We’ll see but the new owners mantra of unified approach is coming to fruition with GM Adam Peters and HC Dan Quinn.

Have yall seen the staff they built? A lot of former head coaches or potential defensive coordinators. The defense will be a bigger tell for this team than the offense.

I do hate the "Quinn wasn't the first choice" people. Ben Johnson was more the hot name, but given that they interviewed a lot of D-Coordinators, I do believe them that they thought Quinn was a top choice. As for comparison with his previous staff, I don't think this one is that much weaker. A lot of former head coaches and formerly hot assistants. At least it probably isn't that likely that Kingsbury is going to be a hot name even if the offense does well.
they also have like a dozen ex-players on the new coaching staff. I think most fans are now seeing that Dan Quinn, with his sheer connections from around the league, put together a group of coaches that Ben Johnson and Mike McDonald probably could not.
@@ClementYang24 Exactly Johnson and MacDonald's could never bring in the caliber of staff that Quinn brought. Also no offense to Johnson, but Quinn just has the personality to lead a locker room, something that seems to lack with Johnson

Bruh Johnson called the commanders and told him he was staying with the lions and right after they hired Dan Quinn. He was for sure the first choice

If we are here in 3 years time talking about this team as a contender then it’ll be based around this draft. Free agency was about short term improvement with minimum long term (financial) risk. It’s a clean slate, I expect improvement in ‘24 but I think it takes 2-3 years to see the fruits of this draft

Idk why they transitioned away from that theme. I was drawn to the amazing redskins logo as a child and is a big reason I’m a fan today. Changing to the natives would do wonders for the franchise, I hope Josh Harris can make it happen.

Why does everyone still think that Quinn was like the Redskins last choice for head coach?
For the handful of decent players we gained, we lost the same amount. It's a wash. We could use a couple more diminutive defensive backs, another injury proned backup defensive tackle. Plus, a QB who can't slide.
