I think the saddest part of this video is that you caged yourself into staying in Beirut. You would have experienced much more if you went to different parts of Lebanon, which are cheaper and honestly just superior in almost every way. Beaches, weather, food etc.. Thank you for visiting and I'm sorry for your experience with the taxi drivers, this seems to be a universal thing where taxi drivers try to scam the tourists, I know in Europe they've been regulating it but I doubt Lebanon will catch up in that department anytime soon.

I found Beirut expensive while I was living in Lebanon, pre-Covid. So I based myself out of Tripoli. Much cheaper, has a more Mid-East vibe, but less things to do (definitely no vegan hospital there).
Sorry to hear you got scammed. I like how you take it as a learning point. And yes the Lebanese are super resilient - admirable & unfortunate (because of their geography) at the same time.

Good info Naser, interesting about the vegan hospital. Although its on my list, maybe will hold off going to Beirut anytime soon. Maybe the outlying areas are better?

      Thank you Philip 🙏
It may not be the best time to visit, although more likely than not your travel would go smoothly
I’m not too familiar with other parts of Lebanon, but I have heard of some really beautiful coastline resorts

Hello Naser, what hotel did you stay at? I’m planning on traveling there next week, but only stay for 4 nights. Any other advice you can give me? Thank you!

Enjoy! I stayed at the Grand Meshmosh hostel last time. Biggest recommendation is to ask your hotel to arrange your ride from the airport 🙂

@@mindfulnas I get that I’m not saying your misleading people, but for someone watching the video with no knowledge it can be summarized in one sentence. Do your research before going to any country. Lebanon is great if you know a local or two, and if you are a seasoned traveler. But don’t expect western like simplicity and user friendliness.

You lost me when you mentioned Vegan...
Who goes to Beirut when they're Vegan?
Also, you got ripped off majorly.
I understand being a tourist, but with the slightest bit of research you could have saved thousands.

so you are mad because you got played by a taxi driver at the airport (most common tourist trap in the entire world) and you didn't do your research on the local currency.. you are such a naive backpacker tourist
