Many people are asking how Mac is learning Arabic so quickly, well it is not as quickly as it may seem as he has done almost 100 classes on the iTalki platform since last July and that has helped a ton along with just going out and speaking with locals in middle eastern countries. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, nobody cares if you make mistakes and they appreciate the efforts! If you want to use the same private teacher as Mac, you can find his page here: www.italki.com/en/i/reft/ABCDbCE/6ACDB0/arabic(levantine)?hl=en&

Hi Mac, my dad recommended your channel to help me learn Arabic! I’m half Irish, half Lebanese, so always wanted to learn but never got past a few basic words. I regular visit Lebanon to see my dad’s family and it’s like a second home to me. I absolutely love it there and your video here does it justice. A true representation of the kindness and friendliness of the Lebanese people! I’ve started lessons in the last few weeks and after watching your video I’ve already picked up a few new words. Question, how long have you been learning for and have any tips for beginners who know a few words? I would absolutely love to get to your level where u can understand and have a conversation with people 🙏🏼😎
Hey Lucas, great to hear from you! Tell your dad thank you for recommending, I really appreciate it! Love to hear you are learning Arabic, as you probably know, it is not the easiest language to learn but I find it to be a really rewarding experience in terms of how much people in the middle east appreciate the efforts to learn the language! I have been coming to Lebanon for nearly 3 years and pretty much the last 2 years I have been practicing, but only in the last 11 months did I start doing classes with a private tutor. I have a teacher named Hasan from iTalki platform and I do 1-3 lessons per week with him and it helps a ton just to keep up with conversation, learn new things, and not forget things I have learned when I am outside of the middle east. If you want to check out Hasan you can find him here: www.italki.com/en/i/reft/ABCDbCE/6ACDB0/arabic(levantine)?hl=en&
Arabic is not the only Lebanese language there is. It's not even the original language of Lebanon. I'm Lebanese American and don't really care for that language if I'm honest.

Firstly, I'd like to make a small correction. We Lebanese are not Arabs. We belong to one of the very few civilizations on Earth that still preserve the same traditions, folklore, family names and lifestyle inherited from our ancestors, the Phoenicians. Europe even carries the name of the Phoenician princess of Tyre, in Lebanon.
Secondly, as a Lebanese myself, I can attest that Lebanese women love deeply and are very loyal to their beloved ones, a trait that seems to be dwindling in Europe, unfortunately.
