6:34 I think you hit the flares too late. Deploying flares when the missiles are too close does not work. You can see that missiles are already close to you so the flares didn't matter. PS: That is some good timed attack from both of them.
I think the timing was probably fine. It looks like the issue was that the flares didn't deploy properly, if you watch closely at 6:33 in the bottom right corner the flares activate for a split second but then revert back to "unactivated". This is most likely due to some server side lag. The last death at 20:39 I can't explain though, the flares straight up didn't work (which is not uncommon sadly).
@@Heliocentric_ ///The last death at 20:39 I can't explain though/// I can. The flares always work when deployed, but sometimes the AA Missiles fly straight instead of veering away and exploding. If you're in the path of the missile when it does this, it can hit you even though you have flares deployed. That is almost certainly what happened.
The gunner position is insanely OP. They couldn't make a more OP weapon even if they tried. I see people going 100+ kills every other match nowadays. Same issue with the nightbird. Dice has abandoned the game, so this won't be fixed....ever.
I mean the vehicles are supposed to destroy infantry. That’s why AA is so annoying for jets. Lissiles are lethal for helicopters. Tanks… well tank a lot. Infantry can easily destroy vehicles if they unite and fire a bunch of M5s at them. The game is incredibly unbalanced but also balanced at the same time because there is always a way to counter the problem. I’m honestly fine with the Attack heli cannon being busted cuz I think that the AAs lock on range is insane. Not to mention the rail tank.
@@The_Post-It-Note Respawn timer on flares are too fast, so unless the whole team concentrate aa on heli they can pretty much do whatever they want. It's not like a bunch of randoms on a 64vs64 server are gonna have any teamwork whatsoever to take down helis efficiently. I have more than 1000 hours in the game, so I can easily spot unbalanced crap. Btw, they are not a problem for ME personally but the game in general. I always go as close combat medic and stay awayu from heli anyway, but most people don't have the knowledge for that. Thankfully capping points generate more ticket bleed than kills.
@@fred6907 fair but let me remind you that it only takes 3 Lis mains to make a pilots day from dealing with a wildcat, a slight hinderance to a complete nightmare. Those guys can fire a batch of 2 missiles leaving room for error. Maybe it’s just my instinct as a gunship main (cuz they’re so big) that’s makes me paranoid of those things but they’re no laughing stock. Not to mention rail tanks which are just unfair and hardly skilled. You’re right though. You’ll never get a good cuppa teamwork out of a 64-64 game but you will be the centre of attention in an aircraft as generally there’s less of you than there are infantry and you stick out like a sore thumb. I don’t have that many hours in this game as I simply don’t have the time to dedicate to it but from what I’ve learned is that you don’t fuck with AI engineers cuz they themselves are more scary than a wildcat with bottomless ammo
@@The_Post-It-Note That assumes all Liz are firing their rockets at the exact needed time between flares, rarely happens in a pub match. People will gladly spend the entire match waiting in spawn for a chance to get a Heli since they are OP. It's easy to win against those pilots, as you can just cap points and win that way. But the general BF player are too stupid to apply that tactic. Crossplay didn't help, to put it that way.
@@fred6907 wait wait wait. Wait for the flares to stop? The TV missile is manually controlled. You wouldn’t need the flares to deplete. It’s a “you see it you kill it” type of weapon that relies on the person to control it. Unlike the stinger it doesn’t require a lock. I’m sorry if I’ve read this wrong but… huh? Also, it doesn’t matter what the other infantry are doing as long as they are capping points, like you said. The role of the helicopter is to destroy vehicles and infantry that pose a threat to that point. So yeah it’s intended to kill. I mean why not try to get as many kills as possible with it. I know it’s a bit cliche but every little helps the team. The amount of kills added up with other players kills can have a huge impact on the games outcome.
I mean, we died to AA missiles twice this game... But of course these deaths shouldn't have happened if the flares worked properly. AA missiles are good for denying space to the helicopter and forcing it to retreat. If you want to actually kill it, M5 and RPG are definitely the better options.
it seen that k2 alligator is only effective in the battlefied pc game but not in a real fight
great work with heli
Cheers
great video !
Thank you!
How are u so good at flying
i subbed btw
Appreciate the comment! Playing a lot helps! Also, playing with the same pilot/ gunner is much better.
Nice.... Please try TV guided missile on super hokum
The attack helis don't have TV missiles in BF2042
