@@KROW_OW Excellent videos! Been watching most of them as of late. Great narration, editing, and of course analysis that's very informative but still noob friendly. Channel feels underrated atm, for sure. One idea that I would like to see coming from you (that also might help to boost views a bit) is some shorter videos about some of the concepts you've brought up that I was unfamiliar with. Like "turns" in the tracer video. But regardless of what comes next, I'm hooked
I'm a bit confused as to why the devs thought it was a good idea to be able to stall the robot from high ground lol
I mean the rest of the game has been riddled with bugs, idk why you'd assume any interaction in overwatch is intentional
You can also stall the bot from the stairs right next door to the window- the cover isn't as good, but its position is closer to the high ground on coast, allowing your Mei to freeze the bot and stall while your team of four pummels them from up top. We developed this strat with Backbone on Mei with London last season, and may have been the inspiration for what Mommoom is doing here.

DEV1: We could fix the map. DEV2: Nah, I doubt players will think to try it with Rammattra or Orisa -- let's just delete Mei from the game again. DEV 1: OK, lol.
These walkthroughs are absolutely incredible. I can actually feel myself actively learning from these and immediately start applying these in my own games. I'd love for you to analyse these more niche Characters like Mei, Hanzo, Bastion even. Anything that really isn't Soldier, Sojourn. Seriously, these videos bring great depth in how these players think and act. Incredible work, love it man

The problem here is that they didn’t switch characters a Junk and a sigma w would’ve been able to get her outta there with spam or sigma throw a shield in the room and let the junk ray go in and blow her up
the editing/replays are great and the commentary is fantastic as well

The window bot stall is something I will add.
Interesting video, I enjoyed the Mei strategy on this map. Although I mainly play Mercy, I still appreciated the Mei content as I used to play her. I'd love to see some top 500 Mercy analysis as her movement is insane. Great video, keep up the high-quality content.
It brings me some joy that a professional such as yourself also says "cooming Torb"
I do have _one_ idea for a hero that might be able to cancel out that strat in the right situation. Put simply, while they nerfed the one shot, pulling a Mei between cooldowns as Hog could be an effective strategy if the Mei doesn't react in time.
A co-ordinated rush with a Sym TP could work too. Sure, one person going in might be a free pick, but the whole team TP'ing in should be able to displace her. (Unless she has ult, then that might just be a time wipe.)
Only reason I didn't suggest Sym is a slower time to kill combined with the fact you might just feed if the Mei gets more peel.
@@z.b.oakley8467 By herself absolutely, but if two or three other members jump in together they could fairly easily push her out. Heroes with upwards mobility like Dva or Genji could do so without the TP, but Sym would enable the entire roster to get up there all at once.
Again though, it's similar logic to why it's bad to play down long sightlines against a Widowmaker. You're literally playing into the Mei's strengths. Unless you're keeping the Mei's focus on the tank, she can and will melt everything else around her with her weapon if you play close quarters like that, whereas a Hog hook, sniper headshot, or other ability to instantly kill her or knock her out of position removes the strong advantage. Not to mention, Mei and Sym used to be played together during rush _not_ only because they did good against a lot of rush tanks, but also because they were already pretty good at taking them out before Overwatch 2.
Imagine doing that with a sym ult, 15 secs of not being able to contest high ground and move the bot

They should definitely implement how paladins handles the push for this situations. In that game you can only stall the push if you have it in your line of sight.
Imagine Mei blocking pushes by walling off LoS though

We do have to get the replay codes first, so usually the next few videos are more decided by which replays we're able to get. We'll definitely do ball down the road when we have a chance!

There is a few counters to this but it often means focus is drawn away from the rest of the fight. Except road hogs hook shot, or in my case a timely lucio boop. I main support which means everything is my fault even if we are winning. Idiot dps walks off the ledge into a kill trigger 5 seconds later "WHY DIDN'T YOU HEAL ME". Even though I was, their dumb dumb just walked off a ledge. I find it funny when I play lucio they act like I am not healing them despite only 5-15% of the time I am using speed boost. That 15% is on the high end and that is if we have the right comp for that and our dps are not idiots, and everyone is most of the time not needing healing. And yes there is plenty of times supports don't have to heal. Especially in the situation of this mei.
i thought they made it to where invulnerability and invisibility no longer contested? Or was that paladins....they should at least make the contesting line of sight
That's Paladins, though it's based on LoS. Invulnerability doesn't stop you from contesting.

Mei is busted regardless. Holding overtime and objectives in iceblock is just stupid. Similar to zen ult but at least that is an ultimate.
Lucio can completely nullify this strategy but she was never contested by a single one lol
That lobby is full of Chinese and Korean players who happened to be the best pros. Asian server is crazy
Mei on push in general is op and has to be patched. The value of stalling in that game mode is under rated
true. Ive also had the bot stolen during a fight by the team that lost the fight, but had one hero sneak the bot away because the fight moved just far enough away and a mei wall to conceal it. You won the fight but now you have to go get the bot, and bring it back and a new team fight is ready.
Pharah and junkrat would counter this really well.
