Hmm Manna Dey's magic.....The chandeliers which no one wants once the night is over ,the perfume which people throw away after usage are actually symbols to show that men use something for their own desire and later discard them ( the rich zamindars and their baijis mainly which was rumoured), The zamindar would use them but not give them the status of his legal wife I have heard ( not fully sure) that Manna Dey sang this very perfectly in the first take...but in the film Anthony Firimgee, Anthony is a foreigner who had just learnt singing from the baijis and such a person could not realistically sing so perfectly, so Manna Dey had to re record it deliberately making it imperfect at places 😅 Magical song, I can't imagine this one in anyone else's voice , except now that I have heard it, maybe Madhuraa's
