    👍.... but ....what is that "bubbled" corner base, in your box ??....i mean it wasn't a box that i've seen before...

      It's where the ground screw attaches. With metal boxes you need to use a pigtail to ground the box. That's where the pigtail screws into the box.

    I had a problem with two GFCI's on a single circuit so I ended up taking apart the metal boxes looking for a short. There were three boxes where the metal clamp had cut into the white wire in the Romex I fixed them. The GFCI still tripped so I disconnected the first one from the load. Those metal clamps should not be over tight.
