the "2006-2021" part and the "thanks for nothing" part never fails to send chills down my spine

Everybody's going "waaaaah why did qubo have to shutdown D:" but im thinking, what would have happened if the viewers donated 2500 dollars after a few characters died? Would that make the shows of said character not appear again? (Example: character of VeggieTales dies, VeggieTales doesnt air anymore on qubo)

This is actually their fault. Scaring children at 11:56 PM and asking in 4 minutes for $2500 dollars. All the while burning their own universe to the ground, little by little, that’s just fucked up.

Thats one of the most scariest moments, that i have ever heard.
i can’t describe this other than.. disturbing. the characters slowly dying off into nothing, the eerie silent music interrupted by repetitive gunshots, the blood, the blame being put on the viewers, and the “thanks for nothing” coming from a children’s television program? I feel bad for the children who had to witness this so casually after their cartoon finished.
It's disappointing that Qubo was cancelled. There were shows I remember and loved when I was in preschool.
Did you notice: Whenever a character gets shot, The Qubo Logo behind gets 1% darker.
Realistically speaking, what was Qubo’s plan if they did raise the money in time? Just say “jk guys your favorite characters actually did not die in a horrific way, now back to regularly scheduled programming”?

Why is nobody talking about the fact that Bob the Tomato has a skull?
That was a completely unnecessary way to kill off Qubo. They didn't even care about the fact that actual children were watching Qubo when this happened. Imagine how many kids who were watching Qubo at that time. They have probably been traumatized for life. The dark, and very ominous red background is threatening and very spooky, and the characters getting shot, and basically killed, is enough to give any child goosebumps, and not the good kind, either. Not to mention, they blamed the viewers for not being quick enough to save their characters, saying "it's your fault" and "thanks for nothing". This was super unnecessary. This is the worst way you can say goodbye. There was absolutely no need for this. Instead of being like The WB when they aired premiere episodes as their final goodbye, or acted way more light-hearted in tone, they instead opt for scaring children and traumatizing them for life. This is the absolute worst I have ever seen from Qubo, let alone any television network. This was completely unacceptable. I am surprised that they didn't make international headlines because of this. And this is coming from a person who actively watched Qubo during their childhood back in the late 2000s. I feel so sorry for the children who watched this as it happened. Completely unacceptable and unnecessarily disturbing.
Plot twist: The reason why Qubo seemed to be harsh towards its viewers is that the animation of the chracters being shot & killed was made by a group of workers who are trying to save their jobs in order to still be able to feed their families.

No way. that’s messed up. Why the heck were their faces shot off? Imagine being a parent and just shielding you child’s eyes from this while you watch this happen. They could have put on a simple message like, “thanks for watching! Unfortunately, unless qubo is donated money soon, operations will stop. Instead, they slowly shot and killed all the characters and put a dark red background. No one would donate to a channel that would do that. It’s not selfish to not want to donate to some insanely scary doodoo like that. Sorry for the long comment.
I’ve never watched Qubo, but I do feel bad for all the little kiddies out there.

That’s honestly very disturbing...but it’s sad that Qubo had to go away..
Qubo ACTUALLY showed that! THIS IS THE FIRST (actually... only) time that Qubo ever showed death! That's too dark for Qubo! Speaking of dark, was this promo shown overnight or if not, what time was it? Besides, when adult content airs on kids' channels, it never airs in broad daylight, only "@ Nite". (drumroll and cymbal) Get it? But seriously, what time that day was that shown?
Children are literally watching, and now qubo’s last seconds were killing their own characters, bro.
Imagine if kids are watching it in an old TV, they are all alone and their parents aren't at home, it will probably be the scariest and traumatic experience in their childhood o_o

You know what’s really weird? Qubo was created a day AFTER I was born. On 9/9/2006 it came after me. It feels like I was supposed to watch it, but I never did. And now I feel bad.

I’ve seen some real real terrifying stuff, but this gave me some chills, I can’t even imagine how extremely terrifying this must be for a child to see, all I know is that my 7 year old self would be too scared to even sleep

This is just disturbing. I didn't have Qubo on my TV and didn't care for it that much, but why would they end their channel like that? Are they unaware that there are children watching this TV channel? The characters getting shot, the red background and saying "it's your fault and "thanks for nothing". This is the absolute worst I have seen from this network, completely unacceptable.
I’m hearing a lot of people saying “Boo hoo, I grew up with qubo and I’m so sad to see it go :(((” but I grew up with qubo too, but imo FUCK qubo. The fact that they would go to the lengths to traumatize however many kids out there who were watching and to show their true colors as a selfish and toxic company disgusts me. Even though I grew up with qubo, I only want to see it dead and gone now.

I've never seen Qubo(i'm from Italy),this got in my recommended of youtube,but...That's horrible.This scares kids...and the "thanks for nothing" because of the selfishness of us...not only they scare little kids but they blame them because of NOT donating.I was born in 1995 but this gave me shivers.I'm afraid to imagine kids wathing that...Scarier than an horror movie.NOT KIDDING!
As a former kid that watched qubo growing up this is sad to see, I remember spending every minute of every day watching this and now seeing this as a 15 year old is depressing it didn't have to end this way, y'know with the creepiness of it all and the characters getting shot and stuff just creeps me out and I hope no kid watching the end of qubo had to see that

dude that's so disturbing. why did they think showing that to children/parents would make them want to donate? the only way i can think of is by manipulating young children into actually thinking their favorite characters will die if they don't call, and getting them to steal their parents credit card info. and then what? by the time they're done calling the timer will be out.

I’m over a year late with this but how the hell did Qubo get away with something like this for not only having a KIDS content tv program but letting something like this slide on the air?

I'm literally crying, this is so awful, they killing childhood favorite characters only because they want money. If I would watch this this as a kid at night, I'd rather to turn off my tv, destroy it, and lay under cover for week, instead paying them
Damn Qubo and PBS Kids were the only things I can faintly remember from my toddler years. Sucks that it got shutdown.
This is probably how the people felt when this channel was no longer going to be aired. Like if someone told me that my show or my channel that I’ve had running for a long time had to be taken down I’d be like, you know what screw it I don’t even care anymore.

I watched Qubo when I was little. I have nostalgia for some of these characters. But seeing how they treated the shutdown of their channel, kinda glad they’re gone.

I was very surprised this was real. I haven’t witnessed it myself but to see innocent fictional characters being killed and to make it worse there was blood and gore shown on a FRIGGING kids channel is so scary to see. It actually traumatized me. And the message they sent is so messed up yet terrifying. I can’t imagine how many kids got nightmares later that night.
