Exploring the church of Trelawny

- St Nun is the church in Pelynt, home village of Sir Jonathan Trelawny. This is the same Trelawny mentioned in the unoffical Cornish national anthem "Song of the Western Men"
Pelynt was originally spelled "Pulent" - meaning "The Parish of St Nunit" - and dates back to before the Norman Conquest.
St Nun Church is built within an oval enclosure, leading to some theorising that the church was placed upon the remains of an Iron Age settlement
