    Really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and time when deep diving and testing out these controllers. As a fighting game player, its really hard to find that “perfect” controller. Between stick, fight pads, and stock controllers, they all have the one thing that i personally feel just are perfect for me. I was in love with this controller until you brought up the dpad skipping the diagonal input. Its not the WORST thing imaginable, but it can be a hindrance during intense matches where you are trying to move faster then your brain is processing. However, after my terrible experience with the Razor Wolverine v2 and the Dpad not only skipping diagonal inputs, but getting STUCK in those diagonal positions when you holding down back to block was really a big let down. Having to fully lift my thumb so that the Dpad could reset to neutral was the biggest turn off. So outside of additional quality of life features with extra buttons and cool LED light colors and clicky buttons, i just really really want a pad or controller with a Dpad that allows me to transition in all 8 directions smoothly without any hindrance or barriers. Next to that, it has to feel comfortable in my hands. I noticed some controllers feel really tiny despite my hands not actually being THAT big. Wolverine 2 was perfect outside of the Dpad. Hopefully one of these companies can make an oddly similar version of the Wolverine v2 with a HORI Fighting Commander OCTA dpad.

    god damn, is there ANY good controller with an actually working dpad on the market? and good means durable (hall effect sticks), high quality non sticky buttons, etc.

      For fighting games specifically, i personally like the 6 button faced HORI Fighting Commander OCTA. Only main personal drawback for me is that its wired, and my home layout especially with my kids makes having a wireless controller much less of a hazard.

      well, i personally play with the razer panthera and kitsune, BUT i just want an all around solid, perfectly functioning regular controller for some other games and in case friends are here and wanna try fighting games too. so and controllers are not cheap... to my understanding, it is not too much to ask for a just working controller that is capable of doing exactly what you try to input. but it appears like there is not a single controller on the marked, that is really worth getting, no matter what. it's just crazy to me.@@oOYourdadOo

      So far the flydigi vader 3 pro is the only one that has all that

    Unfortunately Binbok has questionable quality control and very poor build quality. My R4 button (the additional trigger button at the top) broke off within a week. Turns out it is attached with a long, thin plastic arm (in order to have it extend beyond the other two trigger buttons). So putting only slightly too much pressure on it will cause it to snap off. I have also tried their joycons previously and the L1 button simply wouldn't register.

      That’s a shame! Yeah to reach such low price points it makes sense that the parts could be weaker

    so which Pad would you say is the best one for fighting games?

  • @virtuoso1505
    @virtuoso1505 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    you should try to hold controllers with your index finger on the R1/L1 and your middle finger on R2/L2. I saw a pro fighting game player holding their controller like this once and gave it a try and haven't gone back. You have to hold the controller facing you, and I only really do it with my right hand (I find my left needs to grip the controller a bit more since I'm doing motions with my left thumb). This would bypass the trigger's getting in the way of one another.

      Yeah I’ve never been able to get used to that. I always end up accidentally pressing the triggers

    Could you review the Haute42 controllers? They seem like an amazing deal so curious if there's a catch.

      @@NihongoGamer They are cheap leverless controllers from China, but rather than being a piece of 3D printed tat, they look quite nice (at least in the pictures). They look comparable to the SquidBox or Snackbox controllers you did videos on, but they are a third of the price. So the idea for the video would be to compare them to those more expensive controllers to see if there's some major flaw, or whether it's a viable budget alternative for people who can't afford those more well known brands that can run you up $200+.

      I am currently playing on a Haute T-Series and as someone who owns a lot of sticks and leverless controllers I can say it is quite good. It has 30mm caps on the buttons and feels similar to the Mpress. Also uses a GP2040-CE board like the most recent leverless controller on this channel and functionally is the same. My only complaint is the button caps feel a bit cheap, but you can swap them with the 30mm Gamerfinger caps, which has a more glossy feel.

    I'd like to see a Saturn controller with a Neo Geo d-pad and analog controls and macros and turbo and remapping and extra triggers and RGB and a removable battery.

      The neo geo CD controller dpad from 8bitdo is nice but the throw is too long. Unfortunately retro bit is landfill quality bc they released a Saturn controller with analog sticks a few days ago. ☮️
