Agreed, and to be fair she did a great job too. Both performance are addicting. I can't even choose one due to the huge difference in genre, i guess it would just depend on one's mood. Her singing was unearthly too, like dreamy, seductive and enticing.
I liked her performance, but Moonbyul definitely did better, her vocals and performance were amazing.

I love both versions but I think I like this lonely city girl vibe better. Plus her vocals are crazy good and matched this vibe really well.
But again, I think going beyond your comfort zone should have been a factor when voting too. Yubin did play it safe here.
Yubin is a talented vocalist, but Moonbyul's performance was much better. Moonbyul was brave, risked a lot and did very well. Without comparison.
Byul was straining a bit on the high notes. They both performed this in the same key and Yubin's high notes were smoother sounding than Byul's. They should have lowered the key and I think it would have fit Byul's range better.

wow, Yubin you did great. That's the great thing about this show to take different approaches to songs where artists can shine!
Just being honest to my opinion, her singing style feels like one of her member from wonder girls. It fits her comfort zone and the singing was easygoing. She did great here and deserves some votes however, if it’s about singing or their voice being showcased, Moonbyul showed more versatility and sounded more stable even while she sung higher notes.

Keep in mind on these shows all voices were later fixed in the studio, so it might have sounded differently live.
Tbh, this reminds me of Sunmi's Pporappipam.
It's one of Yubin's better performances, but I can still hear a "flat" quality to her voice. It's not as smooth as other city pop songs

oh I forgot for a while that this is a vocal competition .Judges made me forget the theme of the show .
her singing skills are not the best but her something in her voice that no one has and it matchs perfectly with the concept.
To be honest, I'm a wonder girls fan, since Tell Me days, and if this song is gonna be sing by a WG member I would expect Sunmi or Yeeun or Sunye to sing this and they'll def get my vote. Yubin's voice here is not that strong, i also hear some flats. I don't get the judges for not liking MB's high notes, coz hello, I thought this show is all about showcasing rapper lines' vocal skills, so what do they expect them to do?

Its making me pretty mad with jtbc because Moonbyul and Yubin are good friends and this situation is neither of their faults. As a moomoo I've loved seeing Byul get to be the baby of the group with Yubin and the Top Girl unnies and it feels extra gross to pit them against each other. Honestly if they didn't want the show to be a clean sweep they shouldn't have invited a mamamoo member to a vocal competition.

There are definitely toxic ppl in every fandom. What a universal truth. I feel bad too that some attacked Yubin. They say like performance is all about high notes despite they are the one who also say her vocal is perfect 😂 they keep contracting themselves as if to find any reasons to justify their votes. It's was surprise me a lot for you change to this version to retro city pop because the original is edm and producer want her to use ballad but Yubin know well about what everything suit with her.

This isn't a bash or anything, but from the video I could hear flat notes and her struggle to sing high notes. I hope she continues improving and train on her vocal skills a bit more. While I know the show is for rappers, I believe that as long as they put their minds to it, they will improve a lot more. Yubin's stage presence is alluring though, so I can see why the judges chose her instead of MoonByul. However, I would like to emphasise the fact that the show is to show off their vocal skills instead of stage presence.

Ahhh...This was not good . Just my opinion
1) Feels like the composition was not adjusted to match/highlight Yubin's singing style or voice.
2) Burinakae round was so good , it felt like both version was treated like individual/different song catered towards each singer. I knew that my preference for liking a version will be biased ( based on the music style I like to hear ), because both were good. But this feels like the composer just said one will sing like the original and the other will sing it like a cover .
3) G-sound should have thought carefully before submitting/accepting singer's opinions .
4) Yubin's performance was great but the vocals feel so flat, like I cannot hear any transition of notes. Moonbyul's was punchy and dynamic .
I love yubin but I thought this show was partially about showing singing skills. Nothing in this version of the song is difficult
I can see why the judges preferred this performance, the vocals are at the front and it’s just Yubin onstage so you can hear the emotion clearly. I loved the other performance too though!

the hell how did she get 5 votes her singing was lacking and the dance moves was very mid, she just moves seductively and nothing special really happened, moonbyul showed many aspect that she does not have. her presence it feels like a little forced like the charismatic. Girl let's be fr, no hate to yubin this is just constructive critisizm, the way she arranged the song was really not well don't, her song was not vocally hard so a vocal competition BUT she was flat for a lot of parts throughout the song which caused editors to autotune her voice (let's not act stupid and act like we can't hear the robotic voice), as compared to moonbyul, she did not do just high notes, she actually sang at all registers which shows versality, at the start of the chair she started of low, at the chorus she was at the mid register and the highnotes were her high register. It's not even subjective, this is a vocal competition and moonbyul should have won this 100%,the judges reasoning were completely unreasonable and stupid so stop being indenial

This is a good performance, all props to Yubin for taking part in the music production. However, I couldn't help but think there was discrepancies on the judges votes. In all honesty, Moonbyul performed the song with her own touches that made the song stand out. I can't help but feel incredulous that the judges did not vote Moobyul just because she incorporated many high notes (which btw she aced) WHEN IT EXACTLY IS THE PURPOSE OF THE ENTIRE SHOW, VOCAL PERFORMANCE.
How did they vote? I've been searching the whole Internet and couldn't find it

@@aliza383 I understand them going for a pity vote in this situation. Yubin had 480 votes and would have been stuck at at most 700 had they not intervened to balance things out. Okay. It's a survival show involving professionals, they need to keep it the least balanced in order to not get a backlash. I understand. But there's no way Byul had to hear with her own ears that she's greedy for high notes on her very first attempt at it on stage. I wanna smack a judge. I hope they felt the least embarassed when audience scores popped up. 300 to 76, and they expect us to think their judging was objective.
