@@eliansoler1206 depends on a board. Official arduino boards have resistor on pin 13. But if he learns that "pin 13 is protected" he might continue to apply that on any board and possibly fry some ics ;)
doni mart , The decision is yours. The clone costs half the price of the original Arduino but still does the same job. But I cant guarantee you about its durability. The original Arduino (with a high cost ofcourse) will last forever if you dont damage it..For me there is no problem with my clone board. Take a decision considering your budget, i had a tight budget so I bought a clone.
+doni mart In my opinion, if you buy a clone, buy one without the ardiuno logo. Why? Because it would be endorsing dishonest activities. Nothing wrong with buying, say, a sunfounder branded mega 2560. I just personally find branding non-official arduino board arduino is sleazy, and you should not support that.
I am new to Arduino World. I recentely purchesed one Arduino mega 2560 and thought it was damaged. But after watching this video I reset my board and lights are stops blinking. Now i believe/Sure that my board are working properly. But my both LED's are RED. Is it normal ?
Which two LED's are you talking about? If you are talking about the LED on Pin13 and the Power Indicator LED,I think this may be the answer for you. Did you buy the original arduino mega or a clone board? In the original board those LED's are green. But the clone boards are made by various companies and its upto them to choose the colour of the LED's. In my clone board,I have green LED's,but your board has red ones. It is normal and wont affect the functioning of your arduino. Hope you got the answer.
Hello brother, I think you might have to update the libraries inside the Arduino IDE. This might not be an issue with the board. Either you may update the libraries inside the Arduino IDE or uninstall and reinstall the Arduino IDE. Hope this helps.
Jerrin Thomas ok,i bough arduino clone board like u but with 2 red lights instead of green and yellow ,when im trying to update driver/software in devise manager windows is writing smtg like " windows dont know your device(or software).
green tab You do not have to consider the LEDs,that depends on the manufacturer(only for clones). You can get easy instructions here- arduino.cc/en/guide/windows
Jerrin Thomas yes i know i read that before, i installed arduino programm from arduino site (and also drivers) but that board dont accept that drivers :/
green tab then, try some videos on youtube for troubleshooting this. Sometimes there is a chance that the clone board may be faulty. where did you buy it from?
Thanks mate, very helpful :) .. I can't believe I have avoided Arduino for so long!
My pleasure. :)
Just curious what type of micro processor does it come with?
+Jonathan Luna , Atmel ATmega2560
resistor for led man! pins can handle only 40mA but led 3v 20mA on 5v uses 50mA of current! and you can damage atmega2560 and led!
Pin 13 doesn't need one // I know it's a bit late to say this :p

1:22 For a split second i tough your screen was dirty but it was just a wallpaper. Great wideo thou.
Hehehe 😄😄
Hi jerrin! i'm confusing about the original arduino mega 2560 or the clone one. advice me wich the best one. thank you

did you experience any latency when just practice drumming?
Nicholo Poriol
No man because I am using asio4all driver.
Will the "LED Blink Test" code work with the Sunfounder Mega 2560 R3 ?
Hopefully yes, because as I can understand it is yet another clone of the mega 2560 rev3, so it should work.
what is clone i have 2 mega and one uno board but it stop working what i do
Enorme merci :D
my board is not recognizing port win 8 can u help me drivers ple its is working on uno iam new for arduino.
Install the latest Arduino IDE,it will include the drivers too. After successfully installing it the IDE will recognize your board.

Yes...I have a cloned one. And its working fine with the blink led test. Now lot to learn about it...
Developerscentral Net Good, go on.

how to read and save file from arduino mega 2560. my partner betrayed me. i need hex file from arduino mega 2560
what is the clone CH?
C.G.M show Plapplum
Sorry, i didn't get your question.
The pin 13 is the only one that is fused, so you dont need a resitor.
Not all clones are Chinese.
But this one is.
th-cam.com/users/edit?o=U&video_id=w3Y_4zFTEbc here is how to fix clone problem
Jerrin Thomas if u read this please answer me
