Assalamu Alaykum Sheikh, I saw a video saying that you should focus on your own way of reciting instead of modifying your voice for the maqamats, and that maqamat often goes out of the boundaries of tajweed, so is it possible to recite maqamat with tajweed, and should I use maqamat?
He showed here exactly how to use them within the boundaries of tajweed, all the great quraa used the maqamaat, knowingly or unkowingly, a maqam is simply a series of notes which come together to give a certain feeling which can be used to emphasise the meanings in quran, or even in nasheeds (without need for tajweed)
