Wait I bought some a blister pack at Walmart and pulled a wyrdeer v and tested a some light shined through. Then I tested it on my shadow rider Calyrex v max that I bought from tcgplayer and no light shined through. Can someone help me?
I acctualy tried this on my authentic pokemon card thats a cardboard that we actually bought in a authentic japanese store and yes there was a light i saw i did a rip and it was real i saw a black line aka ink pls people dont try this its just cap
its not cap, this is one of the ways to check. I made a video on other methods to tell. As long as you don't see the image on the back then your card should be fine even if a little light goes through
I literally ripped an Expedition Charmander from the e-Card Series and it had a black print line, but the back of it was also brighter than any other Pokémon card I had. So do older Pokémon cards have a lighter print?

Of all 72 cards I had 46 are real lol! To confirm properly I actually cut through one card which was repeated and it had that black film inside it so I'm pretty much happy.
Pokemon didn't release any metal cards that I know of. Try to find a real card and compare the font, color of back, And check the top for a black line.
I just checked my most expensive card and its real I have a Full Art Shiny Mega Ray worth over $100 but before i knew about fake cards I traded an ash greninja ex for a mega maynetric😂
This doesn't work for everything because it varies. I bought a set which comes with a redeem code inside for online TCG which means it's an official one. Also the ones that came from Mcdonalds. The light goes through in my experience.
I found out that this methon only works on newer cards. I know because I grabbed a fake pokemon card that I know is fake that was designed on a newer 2021 card and it showed up as fake then when I tried it on a real newer card it worked but when I tried it on my 1995 base set abra a light went through and when I did a tiny rip there was ink. Don't use this method on older cards or else you will end up like me.

Non holographic cards will not block the light coming from your phone. Only Holo+ cards should block.
