If you’re looking for more great mountain towns in Georgia...Elijay, Dahlonega and Blairsville. Definitely take a trip in the Fall because it’s beautiful!! From a fellow GA gal 💛
As a Georgian, Helen is okay. I recommend going to the squares if you want to shop. Like Marietta square, or Woodstock square are my favs. Dahlonega is really pretty and fun as well. Just down the road from Helen.

Yes it is almost the exact same Galenburg and Helen my mom always tells us it’s so similar. Haven’t been to Helen in forever but there’s a place that sells chocolate truffles and they are so good 😊
Omg my husband and I LOVE Helen Georgia! We went there on our honeymoon during the “off season” so it was like empty and super cold there and we loved it! My aunt has a cabin like 10-15 minutes outside of Helen and we go every wedding anniversary😊. PS Sam that pizza place y’all walked by is good😝

i would totally recommend going to jaemor farms in alto, GA. its a farmers market that has fresh produce and jams and the BEST pies and ice cream my family goes there at least 4 times a year its amazing.
