    I LOVE the warm climates of Florida. I moved from Ohio four years ago due to my sheer hatred for snow and winter. After 39 years of ice scraping, snow shoveling and driving on crappy pothole infested streets I was so happy to relocate.

    I've been in Orlando just over a year. On my second summer here. While it is hot as heck for several months, I lived in the northeast all my life. I start thinking about grey skies, cold weather, snow and I'll take the sun and heat vs that. I have determined I am not a cold weather person. It's a trade off.

    In Henderson Nevada we have two seasons. Extreme heat for 3 months and then 9 months of cooler fall-like season. So if you like 9 months of fall-like weather and can tolerate 3 months of extreme heat, Henderson is your place. The only drawback is we don't have much in the way of foliage, and home prices are higher here than central Florida. But you don't need flood or hurricane insurance in Nevada. We also have the lowest property tax of any state, and of course no state income tax. All that said, I'm still considering moving to central Florida. We shall see.

    What's weird about FL is depending on where you live you get brutal hot summers and chilly winters. Like my parents live in Ocala. And I've been there July where midday easily hits 101 with a heat index of 110.
    But then I've been there in January and woke up to Temps in the upper 20s.
    So it really depends what part of the state your in how the season change up.
    Because south Florida definitely doesn't get that cold. But central and especially Northern parts of the state can and usually do.

    • @ChrisIgoe1
      @ChrisIgoe1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @SBNYC Ocala definitely has more seasonal temperature change. In South Florida its hot constantly with a brief reprieve for about two or three weeks when it gets chilly. Chilly being a relative term. I'm originally from New Jersey and chilly here to me is nice. When it gets chilly I go swimming, mostly to get a reaction from my kids. lol.

      Central and Northern Florida. Might be what your looking for. Anything North of Orlando has pretty chilly winters.
      Places like Ocala, and Gainesville average 40s for lows and 60s for highs most the winter and have cold snaps that drop overnight lows into the 20s and datetime highs into the low 50s or upper 40s.
      Although they have some pretty rough summers in those areas too. They do tend to get occasional breaks evening and early morning where the humidity will drop a bit. Especially if you live in the areas with higher elevation. There's always a constant breeze. Trust me 75 with low humidity in the summer in Florida is a blessing. And you can only get that in the northern end of the state. There's no kinda relief down south. Until dry season comes back around.

    Me seeing this in 2023 and went through hurricane Ian in 2022 I would say that if any hurricane comes and you live in the center around poinciana, lake whales, and Davenport you don’t have to worry about major damages, but some places may have a flooding potential or a river flood just like it happen with Ian. Heat wise the closer you are to the sea the cooler it is, but humidity is a factor to consider depending on your position in land 30 miles inland provides nearly daily rain fall so it will cool off during these times. Near shore you would have no rain till june or mid june. The best places would be pinellas or as close to the bay as possible since Tampa gets both the sea cooling and the rain. 2024 blizzard is due to shifts of gamma and the release of ice pollution and the cooling needed. Today, florida is changing to a more permanent balance, after gamma conditioning-preloading-bias. "All" ice(and under ice, and fake snow, and ...) pollution flows, restored to more normal. Expect the gamma and odours to be very powerful.

      Karen's, attitudes-mentality, are habitual and obsessive-compulsive, max-forever. Never blame the other way because, society arrives at Karen's and worse, and in disasters, disaster-relief workers become monsters, similar to leadership.

    You don't need your mask on when you are by yourself outside

    Family in Florida tells me they have the best weather. I live on the other coast and Florida weather sucks compared to California weather. Not that it will keep me here any longer because the state is run like sht. Don't like the high-rises all over the place in Florida. In California you can't build higher than three stories around the beach area because it blocks the view. In Florida they build high-rises everywhere. Ugly. Desantis is the draw. He runs the state with common sense and integrity 👏

      @White I suspect we are gonna lose Desantis when he gets elected as President.
