point of contention. You don't need the sword to proceed in Zelda. People have done swordless runs of the game using bombs.
And eventually getting the Bow.
Juan so confidently says he's got it then gets nothing until round 5 😂
Killer Instinct..... arguably the best fighting game
Debatable. It's good but I don't think it is on the level of SF or Tekken. Hopefully we get a sequel though!
2XKO will be fun to see how that does as well.
@@jonteguy I don't know.. I definitely enjoyed Killer Instinct more than Tekken. Street Fighter had some great titles over the years though. If we're just comparing original Street Fighter vs. Killer Instinct then I'd go with Killer Instinct 100%, but if we're going off what was out at the time of release of the latest game, Killer Instinct, then I'd probably still side with Killer Instinct. Street Fighter 2 was a great game that was a lot of fun but I really loved the combo system in Killer Instinct!
Bloody Roar
@@logankerlee1988 C-C-C-C-C-C-C-COOOOOOOOMBOOOOO BREAKEEEEER!
Riptor is in Killer Instinct, not Raptor.
If you think about it in most Zelda games the big bad (usually Ganon) just sits around waiting for Link to show up & confront him. Link could procrastinate for months or YEARS and nothing would change in the world.
Majora Mask's Skull Kid is the only one with any agency. He commands the moon to crash into Termina and if you sit around doing nothing for 3 days EVERYONE DIES.
I don't believe that Ganon sat around for no apparent reason. There was always a motive Ganon had to begin with. As for Majora's Mask, that was probably the most traumatizing thing ever.
@@kyletamminen5890 That game was just an allegory for Links death and the stages of grief.
Yeah, somebody fucked up with the KI question, There was no character named Raptor. There WAS a raptor named RIPTOR!
most likely someone thought it was misspelled and "corrected" it
Izzy and her Zelda.... don't mess around with Zelda fans!
in the which character wasnt in the game question for Killer Instinct, you had Raptor as an answer, it's Riptor guys, you had one job!
Raptor also wasn't a KI character her name was Riptor.
*her, lol
@renslo689 Thanks, I always forget that. I'm more of a Cinder main so I miss the details on others.
Technically, the first thing you have to do in TLOZ is "enter the cave" or "go to the next screen" as it was multiple choice start. Old man would be after, then sword.
That was a terrible question for so many reasons.
Love the “ooooop” before ice climbers hahaha
Joe needs to go back. It's Riptor, not Raptor.
Battletoads was the only one available on NES. Edit..... And I don't think theyve heard what dial up internet sounded like, if they think it sounds anything remotely close to pong
im glad goof troop was mentioned, its one of my favourite retro games
Raptor was never in Killer Instinct it was Riptor, jesus once again React getting stuff wrong
I came to say exactly this.
Exactly what I was going to say. 2 of those names aren't in KI
Yep they never do their proper research. It’s constant.
Dang it, Erin should've been in this one. She seems to have knowledge of the old stuff, from what I can remember.
Having the Goof Troop video game being an answer is random
same with mickey mousecapades. might be some game grump fans on the staff.
And hella nostalgic.
Shout out to Joe. I loved Killer Instinct.
SAME
The battle is battling 🔥🔥
Izzy is a complete bombshell with the darker hair!!!! Thought I saw her on a Pepper commercial
He was thinking of Ice Powers when he made up the Name "Frostbite" ? - I thought he just re-named "Glacius"...
Same. I was like "... Did they mean Riptor and Glacius? Because there's no Raptor OR Frostbite...."
Love all these reactors, thouroughly enjoyed this episode🎉
I actually knew more than I thought .
I feel like no one has more fun in these videos than Juan. His grin makes him look like he's thinking, "This is my job?? Awesome!"
1:08 . Oh my back 😂 . She's still so fun.
There are two different games titled "Super Punch Out". There is the well-known SNES game from 1994, but Super Punch Out is also the title of a 1984 arcade game, which beats out Battletoads (1991).
Someone goofed, it's riptor not raptor so on technicality should have been a 2 point answer
It is Ms. Pacman not Mrs. Pacman
I grew up playing “Mickey Mousecapade” and the closest thing to Maleficent that I remember is a witch boss fight at the end of the Fun House stage, but I don’t know if that’s supposed to be her or not? I can testify that Donald Duck is nowhere to be found in that video game, though.
Man I’ve always loved the water level music in DK Country!!
It's definitely a timeless classic!
Killer Instinct is a trap. Both B and C are wrong. There was A raptor but her name was Riptor.
fun to go down memory lane! also yesssss Julian with the Mclaren hat!!!!
Only got the first score board question this time haha
big fan of retro games from the 90s
Omg i used to play earthwarm jim, frogger, the classic video games. Brings back memories. I wish we had Jump Start grade games for our students but we dont
The producers messed up. There was no Raptor in Killer Instinct.
The character's name was Riptor, but still, a raptor WAS in K.I.
Yeah there was. 😅
Yeah that’s what I was thinking. Her name is riptor
Yeah there was
@@scruffnananessful but their name wasn’t raptor
I love it when boys vs girls 😄😄
me also
I got most of these. This was great 👏
@8:25 aquatic ambience is the track for snes...
Toe Jam and Earl!
- mango
Glad to see Dr. Mario getting some love. Would be fun to see them play it sometime!
KILLER INSTINCT MENTIONED
Super Punch-Out originally came out in the arcade in 1984, which makes it older than Battletoads.
no it didnt super punch out was the sequel to punch out on the nes and it came out in 1994
@@PREENHOUR Nope. Punch-Out and Super Punch-Out both were originally arcade games. They later were ported to the NES and SNES, respectively.
Karma for Juan and getting carried.
ToeJam: "We jammin'!" Earl: "Yeah, jammin'!" That game is ONLY better played with two players. It is HARD to do it with one. I know. I tried.
I’ve seen all from 1980-Now I have every NTSC-U and NTSC-J console as well as tons of games my favorite consoles are NES PC Engine/Turbo Grafx Neo Geo SNES Saturn PS1 Dreamcast PS2 Xbox 360 PS4 and Switch
You need to ask some older gamers can't believe no one is getting these easy questions.
Great video. shout out to ice climber..that game make me cry when its so hard to catch that bird leg. 😂 The Nostalgia, man.. Dayum~
The Killer Instinct question, it's Riptor, not Raptor.
Of course the first task of "Legend Of Zelda" is to retrieve a sword. It's the first task of every LOZ-Game I've ever played. Maybe even in ever LOZ-Game ever made?
i love Kami want to see her more
When Gen Y and Z think video games were invented in 1985...
Some of the rounds were easier than others. I love retro video games, they are still fun to play.
i love this video 🔥🔥🔥🔥....
And Mr/Ms Pac Man, Tetris are my all time favorite retro games 🎮
i think i missed like 4 of these....but i sell games retail for a living and also collect
Atari & Activision, ah memories. Fav of the time, Enduro and Yars' Revenge
Super Mario 64 My Favourite Game
I reactors who guessed Super Punch-Out! game is technically correct. Because there was Punch-Out the arcade and the sequel was Super Punch-Out! arcade in 1984😉 They should have specified if they were talking consoles or arcades
There were two Super Punch-Out!! games, one for the SNES and one for the arcade
Amiga 500/600 game called Moonstone
Damn, I remember coming home from school and going to a friend's house to play goof troop. Good times.
I crushed this. But with me being a kid during the days of what is now considered "retro" gaming, it comes as no surprise.
Man I feel you... like who gets the mike tyson's punch out wrong...
@aedusxerxes7702 Someone who has never played Punch-Out thats who... Everybody has not played every game in existence.
@@burgermike92I think you needed a ladder for that one. Going off of @TheOutcastJacobWolf comment of growing up in the era, i also grew up in the era and it's a given for that age realm. If you grew up when the NES was everywhere, you either had that game or someone you knew had it. Assuming you're a 92 baby, I can see how you missed that era.
@aedusxerxes7702 Don't get how you think what I said was a reach. Most of the reactors are not from that era and most of them are also casual gamers or they come across that way. You're right. I was born in '92 but I also got the question right. Not because l've played the game before but because my knowledge of video games is pretty vast and I've been playing games since I was a kid. I know who Glass Joe is and the others I had heard in passing so for me it was an easy question but not for the same reason it was for you.
Toejam & earl is my favourite retro game and imo the best, me and the wife play it today.
Heck yeah
I've never heard of Dig Dug.
Why do they make the questions so vague and difficult to figure out.
Miss Pac Man & Centipede .😁
I get 9 but I know more than Brandell.
You don't really have to get the sword in TLOZ....
I want to know, what defines a "Retro game" now. Is it 90s and below, 1989 and below? Or..
That's a good question. The bar has moved and many people consider games up to the mid 2000s to be "retro" now too. Depends on who you talk to I guess...
In this video it's anything before 3D.
C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!!
ULLLTTRAA COMBO
I think this reaction video should've had more games from the 80s.
Generations lyric breakdown of the Cats in the Cradle by Harry Chapin
14! *happy dance*
Guess who got a perfect scooore! Meee. ALSO the Killer Instinct Character's name is RIPTOR...
I've never understood why it's always primarily consoles when people are talking about retro games (and almost always the same few games/franchises), there are so many amazing retro PC games, is this an American thing?
yeah most american only know nintendo games
@@gogonsrimulat6971 You couldn't be more wrong.
@mikkelx To answer your question. PC games rarely if ever get brought up because most of these reactors are casual gamers or have only played a select few games. I doubt most of them would know Maniac Mansion, SoMI, Myst, the original Warcraft, System Shock, Age of Empires, etc because most of these are too niche for this audience. I do agree though. More variety would be welcome. Hope this helps.
@@burgermike92 like you said "most of them" not all american
@gogonsrimulat6971 Them being American has nothing to do with them not knowing those games. Most of the games I mentioned are American made anyway so you make no sense.
Please have them react to BINI!
Mr. Nutz. All day every day.
Metroid was released in the same year as Zelda but a few months later, this question is a bit of stinker....
I love Joe but I think he meant Riptor lol but the answer is frostbite
SMK is the best mario kart with the best rainbow road. no guard rails
my favorite retro game has to be mega man x
As a pretty hardcore gamer from back when Space Invaders and Asteroids were your only options and you had to go to the roller skating rink or arcade to play them, and who had already moved on to Apple's and PC's by the time NES came out..... Your retro games are not my retro games. No Kings Quest? No Ultima? No Battletech: Crescent Hawk's Inception, No Lode Runner, No King's Bounty? No Daggerfall? A lot of meat was left on the Retro bone by this quiz.
womp womp
11:56 jungle park way
Me at the first question: Do you mean 'Which is the oldest' or 'which is the one you'd most closely associate with the term 'retro''? Because those two have two different answers."
Second question was a lot easier, the only one of those games that was on the NES was Battletoads.
Third, I did consider Tetris for a moment, but Dig Dug, while it hasn't been as popular/successful, is a really old game. A pretty fun one too.
I was a little tripped up by the Killer Instinct question, because I do remember there being a character who was ice based in Killer Instinct, but I also didn't remember him being called Frostbite. And I was right his name is 'Glacius' (I looked it up after the question). So I knew Cinder was the one who wasn't in it.
And yeah, the LOZ question seems like a bit of a trick, because the first task you do is find a wise man and retrieve a sword from him. So I guessed C would be the right answer. And you say you don't set out to find him... but you're also just dumped in the world and not told anything. So the first thing you will do, before you find the sword, is you find the old man, and he will give you the sword. They did misquote it. "Take this. It's dangerous to go alone."
Yeah, but there was a Super Punch Out arcade game that came out in 1984, so they messed this question up.
@@elchivo83 Fair point.
TIL: first video game 1958
First commercial (sold to the public) video game was 1971
First commercially successful video game 1973 (Pong)
I love retro games, they’re better than a lot of newer games! You see how Sony wasn’t on the list?! lol! That was just my jab at Sony. 😂. I cater to Nintendo mostly!
Killer instinct 🫡🙏💯🫶
4:00 That is not an echidna!
I see Izzy I watch vizzy
There's no prize 😢
Tecmo Bowl is the greatest game ever
Got 6 points
"more retro"...also known as "is older"
Izzy likes Zelda!?!? Girl, call me!
I liked Donkey Kong Country on the Nintendo
they said 'boys win!!' but wasn't it a tie?? 2 girls won and 2 boys won.....
I thought the same thing but they ended up going by total score at the end 15:43
