I think it'd be really cool if you brought an inexpensive SPL meter and offers to test it for them when you demo
most spl meters are like 200+ for a real one lol
@@gamersfan naw like $400-$500+! Termlab & SPL Lab are the only one's I know that do 180 dB all other commercially available only do 130 dB...

Vast majority of guys have these type of systems. I can't knock anyone for having a small system. Not everyone wants earth shattering bass. LOL having said that bass can be very addictive. I wouldn't be surprised if this kid upgrades real soon.

i would personally turn the box upward, but nice 12 set up for a daily i have 2 ddx 12s in my jku everything skar the box the ofc 0 wires to the amp and they quake
Does turning the box upward help with anything? Im new to subs and trying to learn as much as possible
@@tupbeatz2740 it gives better sound and air flow direction
@@smokingzombie4880 all the test I've seen have yielded higher spl with the port facing the rear rather than any other direction.

@Ant Q for hatches and suvs alot of times its better with the subs facing up, and port facing the back of the car.

just copped some pheonix gold sx 12 in subs, my shit thump and I got a 500 watt amp lol, they rated 400watt rms each

I ran a stock alt for a single sundown zv5 set up never had an issue, Ford Focus had a 150 amp alt wasn’t too bad for stock!

Pair of EVLs on the 3k for sure over single sub, double cone area and optimized box you’ll be great

Yup I have one 12 in a center console in single cab with a 2k rms amp, and it literally flexes the shit out of my truck, nobody believes it's just one 12
@@superior3384 vxf is meant for low lows more than the zvx due to its fs and xmax. My box is tuned mainly for 20-36 hz more so than higher frequencies like 40-50 hz. It's musical but it really is a beast in the low end frequencies

@@ryanlucas7280 I hate to admit it but learned that exact lesson 10 yrs ago when I had a 1000.1 apcl on a single 12 sa in a Toyota yaris and it killed my alt within a couple months of playing. Learned my lesson 300 dollars later..
@@Frances_P same here😂 I killed my alt in my jeep when I put in my system now I have two American bass xr 15s and there 1500 rms and lemme tell you it pounded until I found myself stuck on the side of the road with a dead car
