Better to have options than not. Everyone's budget and wants are different. At the end of the day it's what you want out of it and that's the only opinion that actually matters.
Not too bad. I have the Pro for my MegaSG. I think it's a detriment to have hundreds of games at your fingertips. You end up playing for 2 minutes and flipping to what's next. (Netflix effect) Sometimes downscaling and enjoying things at a slower pace is nice. 2 cents.
I 100% agree, though it feels more so with certain consoles. Like I feel that I can really appreciate all the Game Boy Color games I missed out on, maybe it's cuz I can't play handheld games for a couple hours like couch gaming. But something like an NES or SNES Everdrive, yea, sometimes I'm flipping through roms like it's my job. I have the Krikzz Mega Everdrive Pro. It was very expensive but I wanted the ability to play Sega CD games. One thing that would really be helpful if there was a video on how to get the Sega CD to work I installed the Sega CD bios for US,EU,JP but when I go to load the game it says it can't find the bios. I do not really know what I could have done wrong. I really would like to see a step by step instruction video on how to get Sega CD running. Please help. The cheaper option is nice for someone who just wants to just get the cheapest option for a flash cartridge. It might be a good idea if someone who wants to travel with a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive maybe from China or a handheld that plays Genesis/Mega Drive games and don't want to lose a expensive flash cartridge. They can take the cheap one and don't have to care if they loose it because of how cheap it was. Or can leave it at a friend's house so you can play your retro games from a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.
In your bios folder should be in this specific wording mcd-eu.bin mcd-jp.bin and mcd-us.bin . If the files are not edited correctly it won’t load. So if you have dumped them straight in and the files are displayed differently that’s prob your answer
Bought Krizz card the thing was dead on arrival... so nothing is perfect. Got a better version and still works now with saves also. Ed64 is amazing and cheap and works best on n64... Some are just over priced for nothing.
@@CarbajalQZ I’m pretty sure you have to hold down the start button and press reset to save. Just like the basic legit everdrive. I have a bootleg master system cartridge I paid $16 for. Feels almost like a gateway product. The cheap price will draw in people who didn't want to pull the trigger on a more expensive one, then once they see the benefits of having all these games on one cart, the long loading times and lack of features with push them towards getting a more expensive one.
So it's basically a newer version of the really old flash cart from 2010 as a cost-effective option for those that can't afford a Pro or an X7 which is great. Does this EverDrive come with the 100,000 time write cycle limit?
@@mikeg2491 Yeah well I agree with you but the question should be, why is there a limit of how many writes you can do in the first place? Shouldn't matter how many times a game is deleted and written, it should be infinite.
Due to the whole pause button thing, I find that the Game Gear is my favorite way to play SMS games. Though technically, any portable console with an easily accessible pause button would suffice.
Can you put 1 rom on this and then load it and install it onto the polymega? This could potentially be a cheap alternative to loading up Genesis games onto your poly.....
