I would say when buying cards from a Walmart, Target etc., get the cards in a box. This way you don't have to worry about bent up corners from kids dropping them on the floor.
Went to my local Walgreens in Connecticut and asked one of the clerks if they had any 2020 Topps Series One - "Most were shoplifted before we could apply security tags on them on Thursday." I picked up two jumbo packs however that someone stashed in the shampoo section after casually shopping. Got a Vlad Guerrero Jr. and Pete Alonso cup card, no big.time relics. Also snagged a short print of Eloy Jimenez. Series one looks ok so far, but not by fault has lack of strong rookies. There were many duplicates in two 67 card packs. I hope that Topps (and all card manufacturers) understand how multiple generations (Pres. Carter Administration and surrounding) appreciate the hobby, but don't want to endure another junk wax era.
I will continue to buy vintage. If I like any newer cards, I will shop for singles at online auctions. The only card that I like from all of these, is the Clemente. Thanks for making this video though. It confirms what I already knew.

We were expecting so much more from this new release. Too many packs look identical. Poor quality control. We actually had a ripped card in a blaster box. The chrome Turkey Reds are the best cards.
@@dannysunay8099 Yeah I guess we are just not lucky with these. The first blaster box we opened had a damaged Ernie Banks Rookie medallion too. It had a metallic mark on the bottom of the card. We do really like the medallion cards too. Maybe it is just our bad luck.
I would agree with you about the manufacture relic. In my 1 blaster I got so far, I got a Correa, thought it looked great. I’m not going to go out of my way for these, but they are definitely better than the garbage that has been going in those blasters recently.

Never order anything on Walmarts site fulfilled by Savetronix in Nashville. Walmart had 2019 Topps Chrome update at a decent price online. I ordered five blaster boxes. Got them this afternoon and mailed them back an hour later. All five had been opened carefully and Chrome cards replaced with Game of Thrones commons. Seen others saying the same thing on other channels. Savetronix will want me to pay a restocking fee to which my answer will be there is nothing to restock...

Here it is Target cutting out cards. But I did tell them about my Wal-Mart online fiasco. Target does not outsource online orders and they gave me a good discount for ordering from them after I told them about Wal-Mart and Savetronix sending me opened boxes filled with Crown of Thorns commons instead of Chrome. So viva Tar get indeed!!
There werent hanger boxes when I went to walmart today so I bought a fat pack and regular pack...pulled a card numbered 10/10 but it was damaged (bent corner)...any advise it happened before when I got my tatis jr rookie in topps 2019...but sadly my local walmarts either have blaster boxes or fat packs usually and I only had $8 to spend when I went lol
I was checking out a new walmart locations clearance pack/boxes and got a 2019 topps heritage high number hanger box and pulled a chrome parallel tatis jr rookie...really cool card great value...sadly the other like 5 or 6 boxes I got didnt pull much tried nultiple sports got a 2018 series one topps box again though
@@dannysunay8099 on ebay it looked between 45 to 70 dollars I was looking up some of the other sports cards I was less familiar with did end up pulling a $20 basketball rookie and a decent numbered wwe card forgot guys nane but it was also a $15 card so I didnt do as bad as I thought. Debating having the tatis card graded, saving it raw, or selling it.
Ok this is just my thoughts. I think Topps has over produce some cards on 2020 series 1. Seems like everyone is pulling all the top Rookies within just a couple packs And theses short prints and super short prints don't seem so much "sp ssp" has short prints in the past releases. Like I said just my thoughts. Everyone Chim in and let me know your thoughts are.
I'm not a Freddie Freeman or Atlanta Braves fan, but I think he would've been a good choice for the featured player highlight cards instead of Rhys Hoskins.
I haven't been able to find ANY 2020 retail in CT yet! I DID find a jumbo hobby from a local card shop for only $125! I normally wouldn't but I am so excited to open some i felt i had to😂

Not too impressed with the base set design - I was lucky enough to grow up in the 70's, when you'd see pretty heavy changes year to year. 1973 was my first year, and my favorite to this day, with '72 and '75 close behind. 3:12 the home run promotion is an echo of an Upper Deck promotion from the late 90's. I believe it was called "Own the Game" and allowed redemptions on cards if the player depicted homered with the time frame shown (usually a three-day period).

That first pack was almost identical to two hangers I just bought at Walmart. They really need to mix the cards better
