Street Art : The lost and found of public space in the city | Alex Face | TEDxThammasatU

Alex Face, a Thai street artist, uses his spray as a creative tool to deliver some important messages to a public audience. He achieves that through the art of graffiti which gets transcribed onto massive public canvases. In this lively talk, Alex shows his passion in street art and describes how graffiti can catalyze people’s ideas and reactions through the communities in Phnom Penh, Phuket, and Bangkok.

As a street artist and a father, Alex Face (Patcharapol Tangruan) expresses his perspectives on the society through his graffiti character, a girl named “Mardi”, which is inspired by his daughter. He believes that art is for everyone, not just only a group of people. To prove this, he shows how his artworks are related to themselves and the context of places where they are painted.
