    This is such an incredible composition and arrangement! The Piano sketch is beautiful, really reminds me a of Pat Metheny tune.

    That's so good, and it fits around the sounds in the original so well, especially the bells at the end! Love how the tempo slows significantly, and then the bells are even slower.

    Watching you compose this was super inspiring. You make it look easy! I would love to have you explain some of your chordal choices with regards to feeling and emotion. Why did you chose this chord over this one, or why did this progression come out when you were improvising. I think that's something I could use a bit more of an understanding of in future videos. What are your go to progressions/chords or tricks to convey an emotion.
    This is great though, i really enjoyed it

    it reminds me a little bit of the scores to some of the Louis l'Amour books that have turned into TV shows and movies over the years. Which is not really a bad thing.

    Loved this video! Super helpful. What is the device you used in your mouth to record some of the flute tracks? Is it a device that you can sing into but it sounds like an instrument of choice?

    I love how music can really bring life to even the little things in the video. I mean like, the glockenspiel chime at 9:05 when the farmer picks the carrot and smiles - so good man lol

    Amazing! The only thing I'm unsure of is the key of music in relation to the church bells. Now it sounds as if the church will play a dark and unsettling role in the cartoon because of the key mismatch. If the bells were part of the harmony it would have quite a different effect.

    Hey, what is the thing called that you put in your mouth? I imagine it controls the dynamics, but I don't see it under your gear. And if it is expensive, how do you get smooth dynamics without needing to micromanage clip automation?

      If you have the video downloaded already you can create an empty audio track on logic and then simply drag and drop the video onto that track from your files!

    i noticed you chose a key that doesn't include a G, which is the note the church bell makes at the end. was that on purpose? how do you interact with sounddesign that may have tuned sounds?

    Wonderful video Zach! May I ask what that thing around your neck you blow into for the bassoon is?

      It is a breath controller for expression. Basically a midi knob or a slider that operates by blowing air into it.
