I was in my late teens when the Dean Martin show appeared in the 60s. My grandmother was wild about him and we would watch his shows together, along with my mother. One of the best looking, most charming and most talented men in the world. I still miss him. Heaven has a superstar.
During the 1969 Camaro Drive Inn bit, all I can think of is that they cut the windshield off that beautiful classic! What a great show what a great skit.
I do not think my folks missed an episode of Martin's show. I could hear them laugh at this show after I went to bed. I was 10 when this show debuted and came on past my bedtime. Later on, I was able to stay up and watch it and could see why they enjoyed it. Garrison did great letting Martin wing it, kept him off guard and added to the spontaneity of the show. Nothing like it today.
If you can laugh and be happy before you go to bed at night you will really sleep well. Thats why I Watch Dino and his guest every night...................

My Dad loved watching these. It was the most joyful experience. The St.Lukes nursing home in Utica, NY Set up a special screen area, got us the entire collection of Dean. What a marvelous time we shared. He passed recently. The last few months were packed with beautiful experiences. Thank you to the amazing staff for accommodating my Father's need for music.
