  • pollock roe pasta ~ 🍝 [ 명란파스타 ]
    aka myeongran pasta
If you’ve ever visited a korean grocery store, then you’ve probably seen these pinkish sacs called pollock roe. Though technically it’s cod and is typically mixed with rice. Pollock roe is extremely salty, so never eat it alone. Instead, try it in a creamy pasta dish which is my favorite way to eat it :)
spicy pollock roe (you can get regular, but spicy has more flavor)
    spaghetti pasta
    salt
    oil
    garlic
    heavy cream
    butter
    kewpie or ottogi mayo
    scallions
    furikake
    egg yolk

@@hashtagmate yes it is different. The pasta is otherwise cooked how spaghetti could usually be made. Adding the cod roe is Asian concept. Fish eggs is used in several Asian cuisines so idk which one cod roe would belong to. But otherwise adding garlic and heavy cream is a usual pasta recipe and typically spaghetti is considered to be a part of Italian cuisine

      @@naorrii you’re wrong.
Stop trying so hard to argue the semantics of “pasta”. They are literally just noodles.
Please educate yourself because pasta originates from china.
Edit: so no one keeps getting angry at me.
I did not mean that the “pasta” as we know it today is an East Asian dish.
I meant that it has an ancestor that originated from there. The concept of pasta and the way it is made is the same as ancient noodles that originated from that region of Asia many, many, many years ago.
Of course pasta today is it’s own unique thing specific to Italy. No kidding.
And yes, pasta is a type of noodle.
