I’ve been waiting for you to react to this. He absolutely slapped the shit out of everyone with this bomb of a original song. One man director, mixer, instrumental and singer. Fun fact: Ike finally could use his 8 string bass guitar in a song! He just can’t draw but his talents already overwhelming. He’s so awesome
I could not stop staring at my screen in absolute awe when I watched this premiere. Ike worked so hard on this and it delivered a million times over. I was brought to tears with all the emotions.
i was just about to comment about this song! i do wish, at the beginning parts, his voice was higher in the mix. his voice is so unique, and i feel like it battles with the instrumental sometimes. but the song is amazing nonetheless! one of the only songs where i’ll say that the end is my favourite part and mean it in a good way, lmao aia amare released a cover of lucifer for her birthday a few days ago (her first cover, and the first time we’ve heard her sing while not sick!!). ike mixed it as well, and they both did an amazing job, would love to see you react to it!
the bells must hold a lot of emotion for ike in that song. i think that part is meant really put you in unease like in churches. plus his phobia?? man, masterpiece
YESS, I WAS WAITING TO SEE YOUR REACTION TO THIS 🥹🥹💙 We are so proud of him, how far he's come, and this song in particular is just insane because he did EVERYTHING bar the music video. He composed, he wrote the lyrics, he did the instrumentals AND he did the mix!! The guitar is an 8 string, as said by ike (he was so happy he finally got to use it LMAO), but we'll see more of this soon when he does the Members Breakdown for this one *u* Thank you so much for reacting with us, I love how detailed your analisys is, because not only we appreciate the technical aspects better, we also learn what to look out for in the future! Much love!
Ike was truly impressive in this song, and it's thanks to people like you that I was able to discover such an amazing talent! Can't wait to see what he does next! :)
13:01 very interesting comment here, bc ike got asked about screams/harsh vocal tips on stream before, and iirc he once said sth along the lines like an exhale scream and projecting your voice out would be healthier, instead of an inhale scream which apparently might hurt their throat? so if he went for an inhale here i’d like to see if theres a reason for that. thank you for the reaction, it was very nice to hear about your detailed comments on the composition, mixing and such. keep up the good work!
thank you for watching! I do generally hear that inhale screams are riskier than exhale, but I am not personally a vocalist, so I don't know how much insight I can provide regarding that. One thing I can say tho is that (in my opinion) inhale screams are much better suited to interjections and switch-ups, as opposed to a song's vocal standard, since they can provide significant intensity and bass tonality to a mix! So I think Ike's application of his inhale scream there, if I heard correctly, is a perfect way to add variation while remaining consistent with a song's aesthetic! Thanks for your kind comment! and I'd be very interested to hear Ike's explanation of his composition and mix!
@@ScribbleTheTalkingSketch thanks for the reply! I didnt have much interest in metal music before, all my knowledge of the scene came from Ike haha, it was nice to hear your opinion. Ike did a mix breakdown and explained a bit about the process of making blue light a few days ago, but sadly it is membership content only. Regardless it was a fun discussion, once again thanks for reacting and supporting Ike as well as other vtubers ❤
Thank you for the video I loved your reaction! It's really interesting to watch you analyze different parts of the song. You have a lot of knowledge and it's nice to learn to notice things in the mix through your videos!
Around 8:40-ish you were talking about a transition effect that sounded like a smack on the side of a snare drum, but he actually has a members mix breakdown and he explains how he got that effect. It was digitally produced but I won't say how to promote it lol He also has done mix breakdowns for other songs of his, so if you are a fan I might consider checking it out! It's like hour plus long streams of him going through his Reaper projects and explaining how he made decisions and what he did to pull certain effects off. I felt like they were really educational as someone starting to get interested in audio stuff. As per usual, I am loving your review and commentary Scribble. You really pay attention to everything, and I think it's definitely deserved here since he did EVERYTHING audio on this one :) Also I love how for the last bit of the song you didn't even pause it to comment you just were in awe and I was just like "me too buddy, me too".
Ooh listening to it again, a digital effect definitely sounds more plausible than a rim hit! I'm really happy Ike goes through his mix like that, definitely a massive boon for anyone getting involved with any kind of audio work! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the video! And yeah that ending segment was absolutely stunning, haha!
I've been having this original song on repeat, so it was pretty cool to drop by here and hear your analysis on the song! You gave a lot of insight on the technical/vocal aspects on the song, and you sound like you definitely your stuff! Keep up the great work!
Just came across your channel because of this video, your analysis of Blue Light is amazing, I loved hearing all your comments and listening to Blue Light for the first time I knew it was impressive and amazing, but hearing your comments made it even better. Thank you for your comments!

I don't know if you care for like Nerdcore anime songs, but artist like Fablv or Divide Music I think you may very much enjoy there music, both of them mix their songs very well, Fabvls more on screaming but both fit the Rock style well.
The music is great, the extreme vocals are great. But I think Ike needs to work on the clean vocals. The clean vocal dissonances (not for the better) with the song a lot. It's like doge (music) and cheems (clean vocals). And his voice just isn't suited for high notes. Technically he hits a note, but it sounds like a kid stepped on a lego.

This song left me absolutely shook!! My jaw dropped when he hit us with those metal screams. Was so excited to be at the premiere!!!
Fr, the closing of the song hits real hard, immediately tears streaming down 😭💙 thank you for your reaction!
Ike just very talented.. am crying while the song still premiere...😂
