- This is me building my dream pc at the age of 15 but also my first ever pc build. There were many ups and downs to building my first pc and many mistakes were made but in the end the pc all works. I would however recommend fully copying another pc builds specs you see on TH-cam as you then know everything is compatible. If you were interested the pc runs amazingly for gaming, streaming, watching TH-cam/Twitch and is more than enough what you need to get for a first PC.

Thanks so much man just work hard I managed to get a job at the age of 14 which may have been lucky but if you can and you earn enough to get a pc I’d 100% record yourself building it and put it on TH-cam.

i just saw this and i love this beautiful build. but i also see three concerning things:
1: your M.2 SSD looks bent, put a standoff where you screw the SSD to keep it straight.
2: the PSU fan is facing the back of your motherboard. turn it to the other side because it will just give more heat to the motherboard
3: your fan orientation is wrong and it would heatup the whole system. the rear fans must be an exhaust the the 3 bottom fans are intake
fix it now if you haven't and congrats with your first build 👍
this is amazing brother, don't worry about the hate you may receive from this video, people are going to be jealous and hate on you no matter what you do. ESPECIALLY if you show improvement in your life. all that matters is if it makes you happy then do it. i get the same kind of hate on my videos and you learn to get used to it i promise. btw for a 15 year old this is a huge deal!!! i couldn't even dream of having something like this when i was your age, you're a verry lucky kid with a ton of potential and i wish you the best!!!

Good for you, you worked for it so you’ll appreciate it more that’s how life works when you earn things. A few things I would’ve done differently but that’s a sweet rig so enjoy it.

That’s so much man my aim was to no t make the video too long but also show the whole process of how to build a pc. I made a lot of mistakes which aren’t shown in the video but I can make a video explaining the mistakes and how you can avoid them if you’d like.
Awesome video and sick looking build bro! You're killing it at 15, cheers! If I may give some advice though, your components/build is on the AMD4 architecture, where AMD5 is the newer one. It also seems you budgeted A LOT for looks, which is okay if that's what you want. An example: AIO coolers look cool but you don't really need it for this build and could've gone with an amazing air cooler for probably less than 1/3 of the price. Just today I ordered parts to build a computer that cost me around $1385 USD (1105 pounds) that has an all white aesthetic and is running on the AMD5 architecture (DDR5 RAM, etc.) with an AMD RX 7800 XT which definitely outperforms the 4060. Nothing to do now but in the future when you make a build try and ask around reddit forums and stuff and you'll be able to stretch your money even more!
When I next make a build I’ll do some research but this build runs amazingly for what I want to do on it. I spent quite a bit of money on aesthetics but that’s because I wanted a good looking pc just for me but also I feel like this video wouldn’t have done as well if the pc didn’t look as good and I went with AMD4 just because of price for my next build I’ll most likely go with AMD5.

Idk if i have seen this right, but you have 3 fans for intake and 6 for exhaust, its good to have a neutral if not positive airflow in the case, you might want to flip the aio fans to make it intake instead, overall nice build
It’s a 4:5 ratio of exhaust to intake and I think I managed to change the direction of the fans on the software but I’ll keep an eye on temps
@@CrithHimself ideally you would have the intake fans at the bottom and exhaust at the top because hot air goes up
i would make the bottom fans and the AIO intake, and the rest of the fans exhaust
thats better, just remember you never want more exhaust fans than intake fans

16 rn I have a really old pc the specs being: Intel Core i5-7400 Quad-Core | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 | 8GB RAM | 1TB HDD | DVD RW | Windows 10. And yes ik its rllly Really old compared to newer pcs so I was wondering what type of job did you work if you don’t mind me asking I really want to upgrade the pc lol
nice build! one thing to note for future builds though is you definitely put on way too much thermal paste. the rule of thumb is usually a pea sized dot or an "X" pattern.
I wasn’t really too sure about the thermal paste so I just put the whole thing on but my temps have been absolutely fine getting around 40 degrees on the cpu when gaming and streaming.
Temps will be fine, it's nonconductive too so that's not a worry. The main issue will be when you got to take it out, that stuff will dry up and turn into window caulking, a real mess. Remember, use a plastic spudger to scrape it out. I have seen people using small screwdrivers, you name it to clean it up. Not smart.
Personally, I'm a bit obsessive about it, so I use the spreader and put an even layer on, but that's mostly just because I have too much time on my hands. Also depends on the CPU, most modern chips use multiple 'chiplets' or whatever Intel calls theirs under the IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader), so the dot in the middle can lead to hot spots on those CPUs, where a couple cores will spike super high as if there's no cooler at all sometimes.
Just for future reference, when you do some upgrades, I would do the X method @Arty-MC mentioned to make sure the paste gets on each bit under the lid. You can save a few bucks not using the entire tube, and it's easier to clean up. Although, If someone's watching me build and I want them to leave me alone, I do the whole tube thing too. It triggers them and they leave me alone! @@CrithHimself
Good build, good editing. Glad to see more people building their first pc's. But one thing you did wrong on your build, your psu fan is blowing air inside the case, it should be blowing air to outside the case

Just wanna help, you should flip your bottom fans to intake and the rear fan(beside IO shield), top of case fans should be flip for exhausting air out.
As for your AIO water cooler I do recommend flipping the fans for intake but it should be fine. I know it will be quite abit of work but it will be worth it in the longer run to have a good flowing system. Cheers
That was my original play and when I built the pc that’s what I thought I did until I turned the pc I’m and realised which way the air was going. The cooling has been completely fine for me at the moment but if it becomes bad or I can be asked I’ll flip them. Thanks for helping though.

TOP JOB DONE! just some corrections! for that case the best air flow cenario is, bottom fans intake and not like you did as exaust, because you are takign air from your GPU as he trys to pull air! so bottom fans always as intake! ! the fans of radiator have to be as intake too and not like exaust! taking that nice build!
so the cenario in the and have to be: botton fans as intake, side fans radiator as intake! back fan as exaust and top fans as exaust!
Yes I just need to flip all the fans round which as they’re lian li shouldn’t be too difficult I just need to disconnect the cable to the fans flip them and plug it back into the fans the temps are fine at the moment so I’ll do it in an upgrading my setup type video.

But i have a very small advice all ur fans are exhaust except one is intake flip the fans on the ground to make a better air flow
Honestly you really don’t need that many fans, 2 intake 2 exhaust is enough tbh. And water cooling isn’t necessary for that cpu unless you plan to upgrade it later. But great build 👍

Yes I know the intention was for them to be as I said I just sort of guessed which was was exhaust and which was intake. The temps are fine though at the moment so I’ll make a video upgrading my set up or something and I’ll switch them then.

Hate to break it to you but you have 8 exhaust fans and 1 intake because i have the same fans the nice side doesn’t blow air in. The fans go counter clockwise not clockwise
Yep I've realised that I think you can change it in the fan software but if that doesn't work the I'll just swap them at some point.

Really happy for you building this PC, although one thing is bothering me: You're using a voltage Meter as a screwdriver ;) Might take a proper screwdriver as a voltage meter isnt designed to screw. But im loving the build

It was three an a half years ago, built my first PC ever! It had a R5 3600, RX 580 8gb STRIX Edition, b450 tomahawk max, 16 gigs of GSKILL ram clocked to 3200 mghz, a 500 watt EVGA psu, the case was a Corsair 275R, a 480 gig SSD, and a 1 TB hdd. It was a great machine that I used for about a year and 4 months. Then in October 2021, I upgraded the cpu to a R7 5800x, (funny story, the 5800x was given to me by my friend because at first he bent the pin so he then bought a new 5800x. But later he used a nail clipped and straightened the pin and then he just gave me the cpu, so I got a free CPU! LMAO) upgraded the psu to 750 watts, and bought a cooler for the R7 5800x. The cooler I bought for it was the V5 CPU cooler. Then in January of 2022, made a huge a mistake and bought a 6900 xt for $1200 from Microcenter. Just a couple of months ago I bought a 2 TB m.2. System runs like a dream!

If would definitely recommend as they are very practical and look extremely nice but if you are on a tight budget don’t get them if you can’t afford to get them they’re not worth it.

Im also 15 and i also build a pc a month ago! It had way lower specs though and i didnt have anywhere near as much money and living in a 3rd world country there arent too many parts to select and the parts you do find are like 30% more expensive...
I kept some parts and bought some parts but i got
CPU: r5 5500
GPU: gtx 1060 from a friend
Mobo: Gigabyte A520m-S2H
Ram: 2x8gb T-Force RGB ram 3600mhz cl18
Case: Montech Air 100 ARGB
Kept:
PSU: Corsair VS450 450W PSU
SSD: Rogueware 512 Sata 2.5" SSD
Not great specs but coming off a i5 4460 and a gt 710 and 12gb ram its quite the performance increase!
Yeh a pc is a pc though so as long as it works for what you need it to do then that’s fine and if it doesn’t you just gotta hope you can get a pc that does.

Very nice! Im 16 and just built mine not too long ago. I went with a 13900k I got relidded with a copper lid fo rbetter cooling on ebay brand new at the price of a 13700k. Lt720 AIO cooler, zotac 4070 ti, Coolermaster fans, a hyte y60 case, 64gb ddr5 ram, and a MSI z690 mobo.

Cable sleeves? I'm trying to get a cable rack or something for cable management but I can't find one that you can just stick under the desk so I'm just gonna keep looking I think

Did you remove the blue sticker from the SSD cover ?
Not a bad build but personally I would put in my fans before my aio cooler and also right as I am building I would plug stuff in and run cables to the back as I go so the cable management would look a lot better but not bad

I built my first pc when I was like 11
U really should put the AIO radiator above the water pump because if there is air in the circuit the life of the pump will get shorter
Don’t know if you can’t tell on the video but the top of the radiator is above the water pump.
very good pc but a 4060 like your case and fans cost more than that

good build all around but you shouldve went with ryzen 5 7600 with a am5 mb with ddr5 ram its almost 2024 and ddr5 ram is drastically cheap now
