Love your revievs. Today I wanted to find some entertainment on the TV and this was 48 minuttes well spent. You also look like you have a great time making these video's.
Absolutely LOVE what you guys are doing! (including the team behind the scenes) the music is on point for this car! When I discovered the Espada existed in my early teens I feel in ❤ but I'm yet to set my eyes on one in my 36 years walking this earth in the land of oz 😂
Loved the video and the detail your went into describing the car. This Espada really is a great. Yours just happens to be the first Espada I've ever seen going way back to 2001 and previously owned by a friend. So glad it ended up in the good hands of appreciative owners who will continue to enjoy it. If you are interested in any other Lamborghinis we just happen to have something interesting you'd enjoy in your collection.

The most beautiful Espada, I’ve ever seen and perfectly presented by you two! My compliments from Switzerland! 😊
The hatch sold it for me. It's like opening a jewelry case full of diamonds and watches. It's a sense of occasion. It's almost as if the hatch was designed to show off your luggage. Wealthy Italy in the 70s must've been a hoot if that's how they thought a hatchback should work.
And that solid sound of it closing is delightful. Although, not sure we want to be showing off our luggage around town, so for now we will keep it empty. 🤣
It's a pretty popular approach for Bertone designed cars of the era! Our Alfa Romeo Montreal which we also did a video on has a similar setup. How much everything is in show possibly justifies the idea of fitted luggage, matching the car, which was also popular in a lot of high end cars of the time!
THanks for another great video... was awesome along with the period correct wardrobe.. lol. Must admit I've seen a couple of Espadas myself but the black on that car is so sublime ... Love how it makes the car look so sleek
The Lamborghini Espada holds a special place in my petrolhead heart, especially this Series One-it’s something to be cherished. It even shares the same taillights as my 1968 Fiat Sport Coupe. But I’ll admit, it took years for me to appreciate its design. In photos, it always looked oddly proportioned, almost like a Lagonda-too wide, too long. Then I saw a few in person, and when I finally sat in one, everything fell into place. Just one piece of advice: don’t touch the carburetors. Seriously, don’t. They aren’t the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse-they’re six, and they’ll rain chaos on your life if you’re not careful.
Great car, great vid, as always... I would say that the steering wheel is from a series 2 or 3. The steering wheel of the early cars have the design of the Marzal steering wheel.
Tha sk for that, though I am having a hard time finding an image of a series 1 car with a different steering wheel. The original test car certainly had the rather odd Mazal steering wheel, but if it changed, I don't know when it changed. My only real reference, however, is images of other Series 1 cars, but as mentioned in the video, even within the Series 1 cars there were changes such as the rear slats, , so it is possible, that my caray have had a different steering wheel they was replaced but also possibly later Series 1 cara used the later.style steering wheel.
@@Everyday2Exotic I'm not convinced.....Anyway, car looks immaculate. Unusual to see one in black. Weren't there some factory RHD Espadas, but would they have been later series cars? The review of the interior switchgear may be the most realistic assessment ever done. There is a British TH-cam channel called Harry's Garage, which you may be familiar with. He has a few nice cars and borrows others for test drives. One of the latter was a 365GT4 2+2. Partway through an authoritative explanation of the centre console switchgear, he just said, "and then it all gets a bit peculiar, I'm not really sure what these do."
@@bobyokey We've definitely seen some of the Harry's Garage videos and love them! Right now, we're in the UK about to attend the Goodwood Revival, which starts today, so Amy was test-driving one of her outfits for Goodwood, while I'd opted to dress in more of a 1940's style. Unfortunately, I didn't have the clothes yet when we filmed the 1949 Bentley, but they may make an appearance in a later video. What Joel said is true however! I was looking at 1960s, but couldn't find the right style of plaid pants! I'm fairly certain that there were right-hand drive Espadas, at least in later series cars, but with this one being as early as it was, it was likely bought specifically to have one of the first ones in the UK and you get what you can get. I don't know if there were any right hand drive Series 1 cars produced, but as it is the smallest series of Espadas, even if they introduced them in the Series 2 cars, it wouldn't be too far along in the production by the time they were available.
My fave car ever but I have never seen that 4 door Espada rendering... wow. While black is not best for this motor it still rules, in red I think they look terrible. The S1s slatted rear window is so cool... I saw a sand gold one as a kid and nothing has ever hit me so hard. Nearly bought one when they were £15,000...
I agree that red is far from the best choice for the Espada. I don't mind the black but wish that it was a more contrasting colour to set off the design details of the car more. There was a comment on our Maserati Bora video that the champagne gold of our Maserati would look great on the Espada and I definitely agree, though several other colours would work well too!
Joel can probably speak more to this as he is making most of the music selections, but we have a music library we have purchased access rights to, from which we are drawing our music, trying to find music that fits the feel of the car. This ensures that the rights are paid for and the artists receive compensation. At the same time, we wanted to give the artists additional recognition by specifically crediting them through the videos. There's some great music available and the idea of not only opening up a detailed look into classic cars that people may not have any experience with, but also sharing a range of artists in the music is a driving force in creating the feel of the videos we produce.
Honestly the standout automotive channel today. Beyond the cars and fantastic editing and format, you two are such likeable hosts in every single way.
Aw, thanks! We love what we all do!
Thank you very much! We greatly appreciate the input, and are happy that you are enjoying it!
Wonderful channel, I just found. production values and heartwarming hosts. Congratulations 👏
First, the “sit-com” opener for this episode was delightful. The car looks so cool. Makes me think of a stealth bomber.
It does give stealth vibes. And the sit com opener… 🤣🤣
The is one of my favorites in your collection. Amy, your outfit rocks.
best filming musik and sound quality of all YT chanels !! best presentation and outfit too ! love it :D from austria
Thank you! Glad to have you watching!
I remember the first time I saw an Espada in 1974... WOW! This design still wows me today. Great video, Alex and Amy. ✌️
Excellent presentation which I enjoyed very much.
Thanks! Thanks for being here!
Made me really appreciate Lamborghinis in a way I never have before!

Another Espada fan in Switzerlamd. Yay.

Disappointed Alex didn't have the matching shirt. But damn that is one sexy 4 seater that I've never seen before.
Great soundtrack this episode.

great video for a wonderfully unique car
Thank you for pronouncing all of the Italian names correctly.

Couldn’t find any plaid pants!

Harry, of that channel, has a red Espada and has done a few good videos on it. The videos are a bit light on the knitting, bit otherwise rather good!
We will take a look, although, without the knitting, not sure we can watch for long…
