I know a guy who is very much involved behind the scenes in the Zoological society. And part of the board. Zoo Keeper's are not treated poorly. It's not just about cleaning poop. There is a ton of work these Keeper's have to do. There are very, very strict protocols the Keeper's has to maintain on a daily basis. It's not an easy job. It's for their safety, and the animals do come first. They are AZA credited.
That place is amazing. I have been there once. I hope to go back. If you want to go on a drive thru safari, visit Animal Adventure Park in Harpersville, NY. They have both a park and The Preserve Drive thru.
