GB KAHUTO SPEAKS ON NLTP ACT, SAYS ALCOHOL CAN NEVER BE BANNED

As per the National Family Health Surveys facts have revealed that Nagaland stands way above the National average when it comes to alcohol consumption, the scenario is alarming. While speaking on this prevailing situation and Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act 1989, in an exclusive interview with NLTV GB Kahuto Chishi opined that it is almost next to impossible to ban sale or consumption of alcohol within the state, despite the prominence of the tag “Nagaland for Christ”. However the society and administration can play a significant role to curb down the alcohol and drug consumption. The GB further pointed fingers at the Nagaland Baptist Church Council for allegedly running their propaganda in the name of Christianity and turning into paid agents of liquor sellers. Further he expressed disappointment over civil societies lackluster approach to bring down the consumption rate. On the issue of destruction of seized items, Chishi opined that such actions only helps in destroying evidence instead of nabbing the culprit. He lamented the Naga people for sticking to some old notions and their reluctance to advance with the time has led to taking the society backwards.

As a believer in thou shall not judge. I don't wanna make things debating but humbly in my understanding, i agree with a rotten apple quote. But simply it doesn't mean the whole NBCC/SUMI tribe is rot. Agree? i don't judge the whole community to a person, say GB is bla and blah so the whole sumi are same, but if the whole community functions all alike then there's something wrong with it.
