Is what nini or nani? Is it dependent on how/when it’s used? I asked because when you said what is your name, you said nani for what. But when saying what as a word in its own, you said nini. Looking to learn the variations of different Kikongo languages. Thanks for this resource

I have discovered Lingala with congolese friends, so many years agoo... and wonderful congolese rumba, of course ! It makes laugh my children. Is Lingala also spoken, even by a few persons, in Namibia ? 😊

canko15 you’re not the only one saying that! I’ve been saying for years that swahili strongly sounds like japanese (lot of words if you dont speak too fast) and swahili and lingala are strongly alike!

This is definately a Bantu language .I am form South Africa and some of the words are similar to what the Bantu tibes use in South Africa.Amazing.
